I tried to download The Keep earlier, but had no luck, got a this page is unavailable type message...has anyone got a working link to the download?

Certainly the apache mission pack which contains the keep works.
Brian, I didn't have the same problems with the ladders. As for the skull... I did it the way nightwalker describes.

The Cheap Thief Missions Download site seems to be unavailable at the moment. You can get the mission here: (
http://www.3dap.com/thief/fms.asp) Thief Underground . I'm afraid it's FilePlanet, so you may have to line up for awhile to get it.

The site could be having intermitent problems, I'd suggest giving it a go with a download manager if the queue at file planet is huge.

I've had the same ladder problem on a few missions where you have to jump from ladder to ladder... It usually takes me about 4 dozen reloads to make it.. In The Keep, I actually survived the fall on normal difficulty, but expert was a different story...I used a rope arrow and jumped from the ladder to the rope and then to the other ladder...
Oh, and what do you need that skull for? I picked up the force gem after it killed the creature and flew off the pedestal, and then went back up and put the force gem on the Lazerus pedestal and the shield gem on the other pedestal and finished the mission.. I saw the note about the skull being the key to escaping, but I managed to complete the mission fine without touching the skull...

When you get in the cavern, before all the platforms down, there is an area with two plinths, one has a skull on it, the other is empty and has a sign which reads the skull of brother apache.
When you have the skell, place it on the empty plinth and it opens a door between the two skulls, a bridge extends and you can follow the bridge out of the level.

I miss the spoiler button, too. I've been putting in spoilers the old way. You have to type [font style="color:white;background-color:white] text except when you really do it, replace the brackets with" <" and" >" .

The cheap page should have been up continuously for the past 24 says (when we had a big power outage). The problem is that link that Taliesin inserted doesn't actually go anywhere.
