Little did I know that when I cut and pasted the url into the (

Damn, can't seem to get used to the new style forum, sorry 'bout that.

epithumia - I tried several times to access your site yesterday, using my bookmark, not the link up above and I still couldn't access it, for some reason. It's fine now, though.
I've always wanted to say Thank You for providing that marvellous site for the rest of us Thief fans, too. It's a godsend! :)

That's odd; there were 2223 connexions to my site yesterday. (Actually, traffic has been slowing down lately. Hopefully we'll see some new missions soon.)
I don't know why you couldn't connect, but Internet routing is extremely complicated and various sections will go dark all the time for no apparent reason. Packets from my cable modem at home get to my work machines just ten miles away via some place in California. I'm in Texas.
And you are of course welcome.

Oh well, I'd better start the download again (this was really annoying since I'm downloading the whole campaign)

Thanks for the info, Taliesin...

Actually, those are the two plinths I was talking about.. But I just tossed brother Lazerus' skull on the ground, put the shield gem on brother Apache's stand and the force gem on brother Lazerus' stand, the door opened and the bridge extended, and I left.. (I think I got the idea of using the gems from one of the scrolls that talks about the shield gem being related to brother Apache and the force gem being related to brother Lazerus)...
So apparently you can finish the level using the gems instead of the skulls... Or at least I did.. Twice :cheeky:

Downloaded this as mission four of (
http://thiefmissions.com/m/apacheT1) Apache's Mission Pack. Since I already played Ramirez's Revenge, Stowaway and Hunt for Montrose more than ten years ago, I skipped straight to The Keep. The first three had been small in scale, rough around the edges, but decent efforts for early Thief fan missions. The Keep is different: It is a large mission, with a fully-fledged story, and a variety of different environments. This was a surprise. It is easily the best in Apache's Mission Pack.
Some posts mentioned the finale as being a bit buggy. I guess I got lucky: At first I could not figure out what to do after I
placed the force gem on the pedestal. Nothing happened. Then the Beast spotted me and I ran away. I went halfway back up the ladder and heard an explosion. The Beast was dead. I had accidentally lured it into the trap.Finished on Normal in 51 minutes with
1299 of
2753 total loot.
