How in the wuckin' forld do you kill the Trickster beast in the round room? I don't know what to do next!
This is the most annoying mission EVER!!

A grand total of 18 people have downloaded this from epithumias site. I'd say it's a rather unknown mission.
And nope, don't have a clue as how to kill whatever it is you can't kill.

I promised a while back to make a walkthrough for this, but I haven't gotten round to it. Anyway, to get by the Trickster...
You can't kill him. You need to survive long enough, and the gate will open. Then run away. You should be able to run from this point all the way to the exit.
Another trick it is too late for, but just to mention...
You can keep doors from closing behind you with healing potions. I didn't notice this until the second time I played, but it helps quite a bit in some of the rooms.
Sorry about that. I might have guessed. The "TIMER" part threw me. You have about 5 minutes to exchange the EYE in the last scene, so the "time" limit jumped to my mind when coupled with "Trickster".
Apologies. :o

I've already escaped him and gone through the double doors to the small section of town but the mission doesn't end for me.:( At least I know now he can't be killed. Thanx.
I too used the potion/door trick.

I finished that mission - suprisingly complex design and scripting, but you don't really notice because it's so.. peculiar. There appear to be two versions - the other is called "The Killing Time" Maybe "The Killing of Timer" is just a weird Engrish mistranslation of that, or something.
And, esoteric though they may be, you gotta love the Japanese missions. A tribute to the diversity of the FM community and the Thief community as a whole.

The Killing Time is a completely different game by a different person. It's just a 'demo' in that you can't finish, but you can get quite a ways.
The Killing of Timer is based on the idea from The Killing Time, hence the similarity of name is intentional.
Also, if you made it to the town, the game should end. Scripting glitch, possibly. Hit the magic keystrokes and pat yourself on the back.

I remeber using 68 health potions to beat that. Hardest mission ever!
Did you really beat that without cheating:confused:
