I was going to buy the HD remake, but then I discovered they weren't re-releasing the first MGS.
Snake Eater would be a close second, though I never managed to finish it due to a severely scratched disk right after I beat the old guy.
Guns of The Patriots started off ok until they realised the game was only half an hour long and added silly Raiden crap. 4 was too shooty and had 9 hours of drivel to skip through in order to get playing the game. I did almost weep with nostalgia at the return to Shadow Moses, the Rex fight and epic boss battle at the end were really good. Pretty much everything else sucked.
Is it sad that the only games I've really enjoyed in the last 4/5 years or so are Mass Effect(s)?

Considering that the Mass Effects are polished, brilliant, and compelling... and yet also unimaginative, stagnant, and workmanlike compared to the diamonds in the rough that had a lot less hype and press, like Stalker, The Witchers, and Mirror's Edge? Very.

What HD remakes? There's only a compilation of enhanced ports floating around.
