I almost bought then until I realized it was gonna be realtime. I just don't have the reflexes for that shit, man.

Don't let that put you off dethtoll (unless I'm missing some irony here, in which case, CARRY ON).
Half the fun of Dungeon Master was in trying to control your party of four effectively in battle, only for your composure to fall apart when confronted by something nasty and hungry chasing you round a dark, dank dungeon and making you bump into walls or accidentally throw your weapons at them instead of actually swinging for them. The one useful thing Eva posted here, the Total Biscuit review, proves that they've utterly nailed that feel, as I sat watching it with a massive shit-eating grin on my face occasionally squealing in delight.

Aren't all these first person Dungeon Master inspired games realtime? I know Eye of the Beholder was (which, admittedly, is the only game of its type I've played), and it wasn't exactly the most demanding game on your reflexes.
I just bought it straight from the developers, and have it preactived on Steam. I'll tell you if requires massive amounts of manual dexterity or not in about 4-5 days.

So, anyone managed to play this yet? Steam is still showing "legend of grimrock pre-order" with no options to preload/install and their official website seems to be unresponsive.

My HUmble download link is coming down right now; you get a Humble link and the Steam key when buying from the developer.

You can buy it on Steam now, but my preorder activation still hasn't come up. I had to get the humble bundle executable before I could play it.
Wish I could talk more about it, but I gotta head out. One thing I will say is that, from my 45 minutes with it, it's a damn fun game.

Restarted my Steam client for the 16th time today and it looks like it's up now! Achievements ahoy.

This game is epic. Must sleep now, but more thoughts tomorrow.

I need to play some more but jesus, I don't see how you could do the Dungeon Master/EotB formula any better. It really is a modern version of those games, with better controls and so forth.
