I know exactly what you mean, during building I had that allso, but I adjusted the triggers and then it was solved.

Its OK...like I said I still made it by saving of course before starting on the doors then I used fire arrows and mines/broadheads untill I got through the 4 doors I needed to get through :cheeky:
Thanks for allowing us that....I wouldn't bother going through all that again if I ran into a bad bug like that so far into the mission.

I am stuck getting
The fire and Earth Talismans/
I have got all The fire keys went back through the water works another tunnel in air took me up. Dead pagans, went in an Elevator to a room with the talismans around the open room, I can not jump across. If I am supposed to?. I am not sure if this is the correct area.
Climbed down The big door and the one on the middle column will not open. Got the crystals.
How do I get the Artifact in the Library. A Covent??. I get killed and can not figure it.

first for the earth talisman:
[SPOILER]before you take the elevator by the dead pagans there is a book giving a"(little) hint.
go down the elevator, on the ledge where the hammer patrols you can't jump to the platforms.. except for one spot. I don't know it out of my head but there is the book refering to [/SPOILER]
about the artifact in the library: you mean the ark of the covenant??
you are not supposed to get that:) like it said: beware, don't touch
(like the story in the Bible)
About the fire talisman:
[SPOILER]if you got the 4 keys, you can use them to lift the cage with the firetallisman, but that's a fake one ;) and you have to go down there, through the trap-floor[/SPOILER]

Playing on Hard. Have the talisman from the Library area only. How do I get the gates to open so that I can reach the other areas. Fences are not open to the right of the docks and when I swim to the ladder there is a gate that I can't get open. Stuck. Need a spoiler please. Is Hard very different than Expert? I do that the objectives to get the 4 talismen and the spear.

I had walked around and around
I read all the readable's. Missed it as per as I do. Found the place. I had been down on the floor,and wondered why the doors would not open!.
I have got the Earth Talisman now
I have not found the fire Talisman yet. Found the Ice run as far as I have got so far
As for the ark of the covenant?? I do know what you mean!
That has not stopped Garrett before though/. :sly: :laff:

Is anybody else playing this in Garretloader? I've lost all my saves twice now and I have no idea why. I shut down Thief properly, reinstalled the OM's then shut down Garretloader. Did a reboot because Word had acted up on me and when I tried to load my last save game, the save slots were empty. I don't know if it's Garretloader or something weird on my computer but I've tried other missions and the saves for them seem to be okay.:confused: It's getting a little frustrating having to start from scratch over and over again. I'm going to restart using Darkloader and see if the problem persists.

Gillie, once you have done the left hand side of the caves (you should have three talismans now) You then need to go to the right hand side

This madness.I Still can not find
The fire Talisman?. Is it back through the Water cave.After the ski run. I ended back out where I started and a door which does not open :confused:

While you are waiting for a GarrettLoader related answer, you could check some additional things:
Are you sure the saves got onto your harddrive in the first place? Make sure your disk has got enough space left and if you're using WinNT or XP, that your permissions didn't got screwed up on the saved games/ - archive folder. Also check your system for any unwanted inhabitants like worms and viruses, and finally check your harddrive for some yet unnoticed bad sectors or simmilar problems.
