If you stay on the same floor as that black chest under the stairs (i.e. don't go up the stairs) and navigate around a bit, you will find a room [SPOILER]that has a desk and a bookshelf at right angles to a wall. Look low down on the wall beside the bookshelf[/SPOILER]

The combination of talismans posted elsewhere in this thread did not work for me, nor was I getting any audible clues as to which talisman was correct for each lock. Here's what worked instead.
[SPOILER]In one of the upstairs rooms of the mansion is a red explosive barrel. Place that against one of the double outer doors of the maze, and shoot it with a fire arrow. That should open that pair of doors. Then, rather than repeat the process with mines and fire arrows for the inner doors, simply mantle onto the thin edge of one of the doors you have just opened. You can than mantle onto the wall, and make your way to the centre of the maze. Look carefully into the four inner quadrants to find the one you need to drop down into.[/SPOILER]

I have all talismans except the earth talisman. Where can I find it? I read a hint on page 3 or 4 with dead pagans, but I haven't even find dead pagans... :erg:

SethAC - Head back to the water in the basement and swim through the same hole you went through to get to the Air Talisman area. As you swim through the hole, check the left-hand wall for a hole. It used to be blocked by a gate but it's not anymore.

I'm stumped with the glass door maze. I have gone in and out of door arrangements, taken care of the guard. Reached the lever which does not highlight. [SPOILER]I assume I am trying to open a door into the down shaft to get out of this place? [/SPOILER] Have I come here too soon? Haven't really explored the library yet.:confused:

You have to get
really close to that lever to pull it - as in crouching down next to it as closely as possible.

Need some help in finishing this consuming, intriguing FM! Playing Expert.
[SPOILER] I used the 4 keys to enter the spear arena. Triyng to clear the rocks in the tunnel, which I'm sure lead to the spear. I have 8 mines and 3 fire arrows and they don't do the job.[/SPOILER]

I was hoping I wouldn't have to bother you again but I'm running around in circle trying to find the earth talisman [SPOILER]swam through and found ladder leading to the pagans. Took elevator and went up to the beams, jumped over and now I'm stuck. I think I've been up all the steps, slopes and ladders and can't find anything. I got the crystals behind the ladder and found 1 chest with a tiera. What am I missing this time?[/SPOILER] Playing on Hard.

Coreyb2: [SPOILER]Walk fast and mantle up onto one of the ledges with 2 doorways. Enter the tunnels and find the route that takes you down and then to the center of the room. You will find 2 levers to pull and then come out that door at the bottom of the room in the center.[/SPOILER]

Leave it to me to rush right in where fools fear to tread and run around as if I knew what I was doing. Uh oh..I didn't read the plaque in the center until after I posted.....
