I seem to be stuck after getting the earth talisman. [SPOILER]I have climbed the ladders on the cliffs to a door that does not highlight and has no switch. I even went back outside to trying to return the way I came but no luck. How to I get back to the library?[/SPOILER]

look to your left on the wall in front of that door, there is a switch
[SPOILER]and then you will see that another door allso opens [/SPOILER]

I found the fire talisman but cant grab it.Even if I climb right on top of it.

[SPOILER]as you perhaps noticed the floor surrounding the "caged" talismanis a trap floor, you have to go down there, to the real talisman[/SPOILER]

there is a hint when you before you enter the big door
[SPOILER]look at the little lights above you, you'll notice that, with every door you open, a light will douse, allso in one of the corners there is a ladder, with that one you can see what is behind the wall[/SPOILER]
