Biker: access to the inner elevator is through the crypt. One of the patrolling Hammerites has the key.
Bigger spoiler: once you're there, you need to find the skull of a Hammerite saint and use it to open a door that leads to the inner elevator.
There's some extra loot to be had if you also use that skull to open the 'you don't want to go there' door..

Erm.
That spear puzzle has me stumped. I can't seem to be able to open any doors. I tried placing the talismans in several of the numbered containers, but nothing much seems to happen. I noticed the bottom of some of hte slots are whiteish. I tried a few things with that, but it didn't pan out, obviously.
I found that ladder, but, again, that doesn't help me open any doors.
I am collecting crates and other such things, so if I don't get a hint soon I will succumb to temptation and just climp over. :tsktsk:
Northeast: You have to place just one talisman in each set of slots (North, South, East, West). I can't remember the exact combination offhand, but it doesn't take long to try every single combination. It didn't take me that long, anyway...
EDIT: I just loaded up one of my savegames, so here's a total spoiler for that final combination (unless he changed the combination since the beta... :D):
1. Water
2. Fire
3. Air
4. Earth
OK...odd thing here. I played for a few minutes and made it past the sleeping guard and into the library. I noticed quite a few shadows that didn't quite look right...like "quick light" had been used. So I closed Thief and unzipped the file...opened the .mis file in DromEd and re-lit with obj cast. Zipped it all back up and now Darkloader wants to open it with T1!
Anybody got a clue?

NV and Northeast
That combination does not work for me, neither when entered in simple numeric order (1, 2, 3, 4) or in the compass point order you implied should be used, which comes out at 1, 3, 2, 4. Also, an earlier post by the author seems to imply you have to open several doors using the combination locks, and that a light goes out on the cross beams above the maze when you get something right. Can someone give a pointer please?

For those who are getting stuck at the glass doors the door you can frob is not one of the ones directly in front of you. If you pay attention, you'll see one over to the right inside the maze light up and when you frob it, a glass door in front of you opens. It took me awhile to spot it so I thought it was worth mentioning here.
I'm really enjoying the mission so far! :thumb:

I had it work the way NV said (& in that order). The lights only go out on one of the beams.
Also:-
only one of the outer doors opens.
Hope this helps.

Sounds like you didn't zip it up right - sure you didn't put it into a folder in teh zip by mistake?
I usually just edit the .mis files after installing the mission in DarkLoader, via Darkloader's 'DromEd' button - then put that file back into the .zip if I'm going to keep the modified version...

Hehe. I couldn't get that combo to work. So I just climbed over. :laff:
I suggest invisible barriers to prevent this from happening. :p Only two boxes are needed to get to the Spear of Destiny chamber.
Was it:
1. Water in I?
2. Fire in 2?
3. Air in 3?
4. Earth in 4?
I tried that and N S E W, and some others.
That link didn't work for me. I uploaded the mission to my web site as another alternate link.
