Crank up the gamma in the options menu. Should do the trick.

That's the point it's not working.

You didn't mention that in your post.
If you're changing the gamma from the menu within the game and it's having no effect I would suspect that your monitor is fucked.
Similarly, if the manual buttons on your monitor for gamma, contrast and the like aren't having any affect the diagnosis is the same - fucked monitor.

Yeah it is but it's buttons are allright or at least i think so :ebil:on my old computer i didn't had any problems with the monitor

Sometimes you can add extra brightness depending on your video card and driver set. For instance, recent NVidia drivers allow you to adjust a lot of things including brightness and color adjustments, independent of the monitor controls or the game settings.

YOU LIE!
Tell us EXACTLY what you're doing.

Edit "gamma 0.xxxxxxxx" line in the cam.cfg file manually.
The brightness slider in the game options allows to set it to 0.5 as the brightest value. But manually you can set it even brighter, try 0.4, 0.3, etc. The lesser, the brighter. Just avoild video options screen after that, or setting will return to "official" range.
