Notice the Ettin from Ultima in the Dark Camelot trailer? Yeah, you knew that...

I was surprised to see it was part of Dark Camelot, and that apparently the Dark Project version was more of a holdover instead of an idea brought in for Thief and eventually rejected. I wonder how many other beasts ascribed to the Trickster and Hand Mages started out in LG's work as Merlin's experiments. I still don't understand why the pale Trickster texture with red tattoos was replaced by a plainer tan without any markings but a scar tissue-like symbol on the forehead, even though all the other images show a faithful upholding of the concepts.
Ettins, giant humanoids with more than one independent head. Going waaay back in history, mentioned in the Chronicles of Narnia, Ultima I-V, Dungeons & Dragons...
I do find it curious why LG insisted on calling it an "ogre" from concept to each known iteration.

I'd love to see an FM that tries to capture this pre-TDP atmosphere. Not that it's actually trying to emulate Dark Camelot, but something that feels more "ancient" or medieval (probably with less obvious Steampunk, difficult to describe what I have in mind).

Too bad the blur ennemy isn't in the game, it would have been a fantastic AI to deal with. I imagine it to be similar to the invisible keepers in Equilibrium.
