Personally, I sometimes get a kick out of the zings certain members here deliver. I mean come on, some of them are funny! What I find boring and a tad frustrating are the flame wars that go on for pages between two or more members. Again, sometimes the derailment of a thread can have me roflmao, but when I see those 16 paragraph posts of rage (complete with extensive, multiple quotes) explaining why the other member involved in said posting battle is a total asshat, I just sigh and go to a different thread.
I like the fact that as of a couple years ago, ComChat became a nicer place. In all honesty, I was afraid to post an opinion on any given thread for awhile because I was afraid to get flamed and ridiculed by some of the more acid-tongued members here (just because they could). I also cringed when I saw a new member go down in flames after posting a 'Hello' thread. I'm glad that's changed, even if the niceness may seem a bit forced at times, it's good to know people here are at least trying.
There's bound to be some growing pains and a sorting-out in general here for awhile. But we've shown in the past that we're able to take changes in stride, so why should this time be any different? We're lucky this place is still up & running and that we have mods who give a rat's ass about it and us.
