and maybe have a way to tell the city watch in other districts that your somewhere in the city like in "life of the party". that also makes having fun knocking out or killing people or running away from the citywatch or in other words, having fun in the city more fun.

the night vision goggles visibility will have to be in some way limited if the guard has all those advantages and there should be a setting to make the night vision range visible so that people who have no idea how well the guard can see, able to survive. it would probably need to be on for all who are playing thi4f for the first time and then they can turn the setting off when they think they can survive without it.
just imagine that your garret with no idea how well the guard(s) can see and all of the sudden you get shot at. not very pleasant or at least not from my point of view.

Are you an idiot? This game is not, and never should be a Shooter. You want Call of Duty type crap, then buy them and go to those sites with your lack of understanding about the Thief games. Make your juvenile shooter comments there and stop displaying your lack of understanding and idiocy here.

i think i know what you mean by shooter, but i'll say it anyway, thief in a sense is partially a shooter.
in T2 the mechanists had crossbowmen. a crossbow is similiar to a gun or rifle or whatever you want to call it. and the combat-bots had cannon balls that explode and work in a way similiar to hand grenades. now it is true that guns have longer range and bullets are quicker than arrows so it will be a bit harder, but i've been looking for a more difficult mission since the second time i played through the series.

You do not know what a SHOOTER is. You are so far off base as to be lost in the fog of your mini mind.
THIEF is a DO NOT KILL game. You are supposed to be skilled enough to get through the mission without fighting or killing.
The common SHOOTER is "Kill everything that moves, be it human or a tank"
Of course the guards and security will defend an area. But that in no way makes the games Shooters.
You might try to learn the idioms and language of the places you visit before you attempt to respond.
So far you have only displayed ignorance and a refusal to backup your statements with a solid opinion.

You still have not said in detail WHY you like it. That is and was the question whether you agree in part or not.
On the other hand if it is that bad (para three) What makes it better in your opinion?
You say you defend it, like it better than the previous issues, agree that it has major faults, yet have not defined why you like it better....
I'm waiting.

ok you were right, i was wrong although i should've worded it differently i was still wrong. however when i agreed to jtr7's idea about rifles and hand grenades, i was thinking in terms of the gaurds having rifles and grenades. that doesn't mean that i plan to go out and kill everbody. and night vision goggles are in no way a weapon. i also meant that the gaurds would have them and not me.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

So the 'New Tech'... All Thief sequels have it. TMA had the robots that needed a new approach to be defeated, and TDS had the walking statues and puppets.
.....................Anywho. Thoughts?

If it's not then Eidos are crazy for not doing so.

It seems a strange to me that you would like to see rifle's, hand grenades and night vision goggles being introduce to a series that is primarily set in a medieval environment. I would be interested to find out how you envisage these being introduce? Have to say im not convinced :tsktsk:
