Thanks everyone for the comments.
My next task will be to get this scene into the engine. I'm curious if we have precise enough control over placement of characters, so they all play it in synch. Somehow I have a feeling that characters may do a step forward/backward or turn randomly. But who knows - maybe it will work out.

That happens after a conv when one of the motions includes a change to the actors coordinates. When the conv has finished, the actor returns to his or her origin. It's obvious when the actor actually walks somewhere, but there are plenty of motions where the model position changes just a little bit. I think the position is based on the torso joint, so many motions have to have some model translation in order to stop the feet appearing to slide.

Hi,
So the day of the release finally came...
I opened a separate thread, in case people have questions. This thread will focus on entire project's progress.

Speaking of entire project... well... it's taking "a bit" longer, then I would have ever imagined. For a number of reasons - some good, some unexpected. But it also means I won't be able to complete the entire thing, as I planned almost... three years ago. I don't want to be sixty years old, releasing "last batch of zombie high res replacements for Thief 2"...
I still would like to spend a bit more time on the coding side of things - getting the AI meshes exporter working, among others. But I doubt I would have time to get the modelling and texturing side of things going. Last years I am becoming gradually more focused on programming rather than artistic stuff. Plus other things in my life require my attention too. That doesn't mean I will never do any models for a change, but it's just unlikely to happen soon and on a massive scale.
But anyway, I got some good experience working on this tool. And I hope some of you will find this stuff useful.

Wow this is so cool! I can't believe you did really an 1.00 release after following you over the years (and often I thought the project would be dead). My dearest respect and congratulations to you for your constant, hard work!
I think it is a good way to say that you mainly focus on the coding side / exporter than the actual modeling. Now your plan can become true when you said back in the day, that the exporter needs to be working first, and then the communtity can do the modeling work freely as they please. You were right and I would love to see you making feature and coding updates to this great project.
Be sure to promote this on other Thief related sites too! Write some Emails with the forum link etc. Good luck! :thumb:

Hey, thanks SeriousToni! Yeah, I can't believe neither I sticked to this project for so long. Or... it sticked to me - not sure... ;) I just didn't want to end up with another unfinished thing, so took the "tiny steps" approach. It's far from completion, but at least it's at usable stage.
Not sure about promoting this on Thief sites. Surely I posted this on the Polish forums - "where I come from" ;), but other than that I think anyone who is potentially interested would be a TTLG forums user anyway... Unless I'm missing any obvious alternative site.
Cheers!
