As far as I know you can't. You can get Gwen to stop in the shadows when required to get her past the guards.

tafferjim: Yes, thats' right. [SPOILER]Cringe's orders were just to explain why the guards would attack Gwendoline. It would have been a neat alternative though to have been able to get those orders to a guard and have them ignore Gwendoline. I never thought of that. Seems so obvious now.[/SPOILER]

I must be misunderstanding something.

[SPOILER]I got down into the area where Dogget is; I took both the keys -- South Gate and Lower Portcullis. Then I went down to where the other guy is locked in... but neither of these keys opens that portcullis. (Or at least, I don't know where I should use the key: I was using it on the gate itself.)

The South Gate key opens the locked door leading into the courtyard;but how do I get the lower portcullis open?[/SPOILER]

Edit: And, as usual, the moment I asked for help -- I found the lock inside the gate on the right, where I could just frob it from the outside. Yeesh!

Love this mission...........but frustrated !!:sweat:
I'm :o to say I spent 10 mins. trying to uncork the smelling
salts, and 20 mins. on those ladders !!! Loved sneaking Gwen through
the halls , and the Doggett scenario ( ingenious ), and the poor old
couple ...........but I have combed the garden 4 times and can't find
the ring !!! . Please......where is the ring ?? and the attic ??
I think I've been everywhere else:confused:
