blow : Thanks for the spoiler for everyone else. Do you know how to hide spoilers? Use the S icon on the posting input. What are you expecting to happen by the way? This code is the word DICE and it just switches off the fan so you can squeeze by. If it fails then I am at a loss how. I can only suggest you do this. Stand in front of the fan, do a quick save, then try to get through quickly. It is possible to get through and take the hits. Sometimes it kills, but if you get though quickly it is even possible to do it without any harm. Good luck!

:ebil: Oh, my granny grunt.. The genius from Mensa that created this fm is trying to teach us to use our reasoning and deduction on these puzzles.... and I am going nuts looking for these attributes. i r a simpel taffer.
Having hypnotized myself gazing into the midst of the crystal ball, I have seen nothing...no oil...no nothing, nada, zip, zilch. I have a hunch about the banner at the back of the room.
Try to climb the spider web? Every 5th+ jump up, I hear a grunt so I must be near a handhold? Am I jumping for a ladder or ledge?
Finished Game 1 and 4 and felt very smug. Now, I am humble :weird:

Dawggon :
Yes, examine the wall closely and you should see some projections. Jump to the first one and climb up. How did you get in there without the oil? You must be from Mensa Plus!
Well, I'm in the room with the gold egg now, feeling that I should be looking for a switch in here and not caring to. I have to agree with another poster here that the fun factor is wearing short. Obviously, you put a hell of a lot of work into these missions, Fidcal, but I wish you'd made them a bit less annoying.
So is the only way out of this room the way I came in? Is there indeed a switch?

The key is in the door lock. Just get close to it and the door will unhighlight and you'll be able to take the key.

It is getting time to delete this mission from my pc, I can't get anything to happen when I attempt to "gaze" into the
crystal ball
I can't even frob the purse from the dude in the gold egg room, he lites up all the time but not his purse. Does anyone have a saved game from past the
crystal ball
If I don't get past that soon will just go to the newest mission Citadel of Douro, Thanks.

tafferjim :
Stand in front of the crystal ball facing where the readable plaque is. Crouch down and move forward till you are touching the crystal ball plinth. Lean forward and turn up/down/left right until you are gazing deep into the centre of the ball. Listen for something opening ahead of you.
Have opened the gold door. Mummy I'm scared......
I was coming in this thread to post that I was stuck now, but tafferjim's post and Fidcal's spoiler have opened things up a bit.
I have to say that I assumed the message on the crystal ball referred to the
gold key behind the clock
so I didn't pursue it any further.

Finished it. Man, that was hard. And quite claustrophobic after the first one.
Part of what made it hard was the sheer difficulty in finding some of the frobbables. Even when you knew it was there, it was sometimes very difficult.
Reminded me a bit of the justly-maligned "pixel-hunt" puzzles in old point-and-click adventures.
I thought the worst cases were the
crystal relic and the gas switch
With respect to the former, was there a reason why you had to climb up to its level with a rope arrow to frob it, rather than just jumping up a few inches and grabbing it? It just seemed rather silly.
Two questions:
1) There was a little slanting stone chimney in the corridors leading to the
Horath
I wasted a happy few minutes trying to mantle up there and see where it led. Was it navigable, or just atmosphere?
2) The big stone gryphons in the main hallway downstairs had sinister violet eyes in Infiltration - I was sure they were going to scrag me as I sneaked past. The eyes have gone in pts 2 + 3. Any significance?
