Fidcal, it's too hard to play, at least for me. I think I'm a good playing Taffer, but one with perhaps a languageproblem. I like the "old english verbs" BTW. But I must admitt: it's too hard to figure all out!
This is not good for my Taffer ego :p
I allready had some problems with some great Taffers, but I won't go into that.
What I mean to say: I know this FM was betatested for a long time. Why didn't you use all of their remarks?
I'm just wondering.
This mission is só cool!, but also very frustrating.

I'm still [SPOILER]not finding the opening to get the book, even when I got in the "spider" area (GREAT SPIDERS!!!) [/SPOILER]
DO you see: I can play just a bit and than I'm stuck again!
I see the scripture above, but can't read it.
This mission is so frustrating sometimes, but also so great ............ ARGHHHH!!!!:nono: :( :o

I love the mission, and I HATE IT!!! Can you understand!???anymore.
Just try to be a Dutch person, with an own dialect language BTW, and figure out your notes and other readables.

I state my case!

I don't mean to offend you, I just want you to know how bad it's gotten for me, a foreigner, but an everlasting Thieflover, who's just being frustrated about the mission ánd the interaction with the testers.

I really like this missions a lot, but when you want to make more: Just listen to your testers and the mission ROCKS!!! because you're one great Taffer, who can make great missions! I'm sure of it!

Gloria Creep : I am really sorry to hear about your troubles honestly! I thought I'd done everything I could to make it playable but will keep your comments in mind for the future. It is not so easy to rewrite a mission like this at a late stage. I did what I could but it is just badly planned from the beginning.:o

Now as for your current difficulties and I am not certain exactly where you are so I will put more than one spoiler. Just read the first one and no further if that is where you are:[SPOILER]If you are in the big room with two thrones you need to use the anointing oil on the big stone with the face with 'weakened eyes' in the wall above the left throne (mantle up twice)[/SPOILER]If you are in the area beyond that...[SPOILER]If you are on the spider web then frob the big round gold stone button. This unlocks the glass dome that protects the Book of Gold Magick. You can if you wish go back for it now or pick it up on your way back. But to complete the mission you also need to squeeze past on the left the big round gold stone button next the spider web. This can sometimes be easy and sometimes pull back and retry 3 or 4 times before you get through.[/SPOILER]Good luck! :thumb:

Thanks for the hint. [SPOILER]Now I've got the book, and I can see the drawbridge up above at the beginning of the arrow-shaped room, but I can't get up. Also, I have the rats' cheese but don't know what to do with it.[/SPOILER]

[SPOILER]Thanks, I know, I had to get up there to push the button to open the glass dome on the book. I now realize I can go behind the button, but I'm again at a loss. I gather I'm suppose to make the little rat guy go do something to the skeleton using the cheese, but he just ignores it regardless of which way I point when I have it in the center of the screen "use" position. Using it on him does nothing. I read something about pouring sand earlier in this thread. Seriously, WTF? These are the most obscure puzzles I've ever seen. I doubt this mission even makes sense to Fidcal unless he's as high as he was when he made it. No offense, Fidcal. :p[/SPOILER]

Hint : Check Slith (dead guy sitting on brazier) again - note in his hand - study it

I am stuck too.
[SPOILER]I have the oil and done the code turned off the gas.I know I have to get past the fan and found it. I can not get the book? Reading here I have missed something
Is there a way in that smaller chute where I took the grill of under the pc screen. I can not get in. I can not find a button to get the book.[/SPOILER]
I am also wondering if I missed something in the
astrologer's room. Is there a key for the room half way down the stairs
