Finished this part it was really good fun, loved it.:thumb:
Thanks@Nighwlker on the very last bit
Although I got as far as!!
Quiffley the mouse, to follow with the cheese. I had the spare key too. He unlocked the drawbridge,I had the fight sequence in the wrong place.
Got the pearl too quick. The Skeleton dropped to the floor, was going walk about
I found it hard to see the coin.
Found the way after that?
I had already had got the Gas off the dome did not open though, pressed the Gold button [after reading here]. Was the spider from what I read after, supposed to unlock it?? Curious!
Also found the secretes but says I have 2906 out of 3106 loot?. I could not frob a gold jar, was it not supposed too. Also short from mission 1 wondered if I have missed any or it carries over?
Loved the Fairy
Real fun..:thumb:

Glad to hear you had fun Gillie! It sounds like it worked as it should but I think you realized to get one of the optional objectives you can get the Horath to follow you. No you did it right with unlocking it yourself the spider does not unlock the dome; you have to press the gold button as you did. Seems you missed 200 loot. Puzzled by that because it sounds like you missed the Horath's eyes? Which are 150 each = 300. The gold jar was just brass I'm afraid to support the egg and was not loot.

Red Angel's eyes Which was all of it.

Martek : Yes, that is the more 'normal' 'legitimate' alternative back up plan to get by if anything else fails. Never intended as first choice of course as the player should normally follow the in-game instructions. BTW you do understand the correct way presumably? And why
the Horath dies like that? :thumb:
Well, reading back in "my notes" (and now this thread) I think I do ("
The gateman lights thee thru if offering be true ... Repulse what cannot die 'xcept if She is nigh"), but I couldn't get it to work (
could not get the Rat-Folk to follow me - though I prolly gave up too easily...), so I fell back to one of my standard ways of "pulling the mob". (
I'm notoriously bad with word puzzles and when something doesn't seem to work I fear getting stuck trying all sort of different "long shots" for too long - so tend to try to find alternatives sooner rather than later...) :p
Yet I don't know that the way I did it is out of line as a primary method, considering in "a tiny document" it says, "
the one truly ready shall, at the right time, perform that which is to be done to be proven by guile and stealth and steadfastness". The way I did it isn't really so far off from that, is it? :)
BTW, I was stuck at 2906 gold for a long time - about gave up finding anymore. But I did go back and re-search everywhere in a final attempt before heading out, and I found I overlooked
two gems in
little niches in the wall,
one on each side above the egg!
Boy I really wanted to "kill" that floating robot/noise-detector thingie! And if I did not read it here, I would most likely have never seen that
key in
the door!
Very hard, but fun mission! :thumb:
Off to part three...
Cheers,
Martek

Martek : Yes, that way is probably just as devious. You've 'proven' yourself and you're through to the next level is what matters.

Thanks for the effort and I don't want to discourage or disparage your work but this has to be one of the most annoying fms I ever played.
I played through the first one ok but the second one is beyond my patience :(
UNWANTED GUEST on 24/4/2007 at 17:22
In the hover-bot room up the laddr near the code machine ,I
was turning and clicking and picked up something....
It was the back cover of a wiring or fuse box. I repeated this and it comes out of a blank wall section half way up the ladder. Garrett makes a comment about "I gotta remember this/it's important...."or something to that effect. It is hard to pick up, but do-able.
Is this related to an upcoming mission or something? where is it coming from?
Thanks
