It's the backside panel of the code machine mechanism. You can optain a clue about the code itself by checking the pins that are sticking out.

Looks like you found a bug by blind frobbing. You need to get behind where you got that. Hint : up the metal trap door in the ceiling in the main room where the glass dome is
Note to self : Must make frob distances shorter!:cheeky:

Ok, thanks....
Great game!!!!!, but at times a little tooooo frustrating..............
How was one supposed to know to put the cheese on the "altar" AFTER the sand ceased flowing?

The oil flask for the lock really got me as I missed an apparent note, and could never get a key to fit. - maybe needed more than one clue for that one.

It was a REAL real real real PAIN to get up on that blue tile circle to rotate the valve. Would have been better to make more room
I
wish the rat guy worked a bit better; ie would come out and follow you while you were holding the cheese right in front of his nose, while you are backing up...more life realistic
. but that idea was soooo neat, it would have been good to expand on that character - he would have made an interesting story............
Some things did not make sense; especially looking into a crystal ball will move a door in the wall - what the?!!!!! Also, why in the world was there water floating at approx ceiling level? For me just took a little away from the SENSE of the game, just to do cool stuff
. Loved those
little black devil things though in the room, they at first
gave me the heebie jeebies.
But besides my pathetic critiques, I must say it was overall a GREAT game besides the hangups... obviously had a lot of imagination and novelty with a good story (so far, I just finished Misson 2). Thanks so much for taking the time and devotion to construct the game. It being built from your first efforts is very motivating to anyone wanting to learn how to construct. And especailly THANKS!!!! for keeping your cool in replying to others with the problems they encountered, you never got frustrated/irratated at them, you were very patient, ........As you may know.....that always does not happen here. Very admirable.

Thanks for feedback Unwanted Guest.:thumb: Glad you enjoyed it despite the annoyances. Guess my imagination runs away with me but here was my thinking when I made it...
The cheese should go in the offering bowl not just in the niche. Clues: in Slith's note - "can't tempt him with fruit in the niche opposite the side passage. Strange there is no offering bowl." suggesting that just putting something in the niche without an offering bowl would not be enough. And in the little book Garrett made a copy of saying it was important - "And for faerie kinde, Seraphina, great even amongst her own, and known to the Lady, was to remain watchful. To direct and instruct. Her magick dust would start to flow to shape the face of Life and Death. Challenging, yet receptive for a token to signify understanding and willingness in the one who is to take part." signifying the face itself is to be the receptacle. I saw the story so clearly in my mind that it just seemed natural to me to wait for the face to form into a bowl then put the cheese in that. But I failed to realize how hard it is to convey the story well.
Yeah, missing that note leaves a player stranded I guess. I did knock over the waste basket to draw attention to it though!
Others also reported problems standing on the blue rounded stone but I never had much problem. Mostly I dropped it at my feet and jumped up and that was it. You might also try standing on the chair from upstairs in Meek's cupboard...
The crystal ball was devised by Meeks so nobody could get his stuff while at the same time it was easy for him to get to it without having to fiddle with locks. The clue 'Gaze deep that thou see what time (the banner closes after a time) hides from thee' is the clue that you only need to gaze deep into the crystal. I thought it more interesting than just lockpicking another footlocker.
Water is the natural element of the Lady of the Gold Waterlight, Firstborn of the Daughters of the Lost Seas. She and her kind are aqueous spirits that live only in the mystic streams which flow where she wishes. You are not worthy to stand in her presence, thief. You are privileged to even gaze at the very essence she breathes. How dare you question her will?;)
Yes, I liked Quiffly too. If you follow Garrett's notes "Let him go ahead ... maybe easier go slow let Quiffly in front." If you let him go ahead of you it is much more natural and atmospheric.
sorry, buy I haven't understood....
In what way it's possibile
the things inside the cupboard that are mentioned in the crystal ball??
I've checked the walktrough on the site, but it say just: Lean in and look deep into the crystal ball and you've found Secret #1. A banner in the north wall will slide aside to reveal a cupboard which contains a bottle of anointing oil, 2 healing potions, a purse (+100 = 120) and a scroll
The problem are: in what way i can lean on the crystal ball??
Tell me the precise move please!
Check your control options. There is a "lean forward" one that you need to use. You'll have to check to see what key(s) it's set to. I've changed mine from the default settings. It's very useful for a lot of things.

LOL
Thanks Nightwalker! You are, as usual, omnipresent and useful!! :laff:

Hi I know this is an old thread, but I've just started playing this mission and am stuck !
Ive got the
bj, various notes, the oil from behind the banner, the gold key and the spiral stairs key
and have visited
gwen and seen the boards loose on the east gate
but I can't get any further - I seem to have run out of places I can access.
What am I missing?
Fidcal on 2/8/2007 at 10:45
First you might get Jaskew's order (the spiral stair guard) for a clue, in case you didn't find where that leads, Search around on the spiral stair but if you've done all that then read Jaskew's orders again (depending on what level you play on there is a clue how to proceed.) and if you've done all that and opened the small golden door then search very carefully around in there. and you're still stuck then come back here for more! :)

Many thanks Fidcal, that
switch
was tricky to spot even
when crouching
! I'm on the move again now...:)
