(Playing on "expert" -- i.e. - Hard)
Guys, I have done something really strange and want to know if this is an "expected" solution before I continue and possibly make the mission unfinishable.
First of all, I have Not found Durbage's corpse or the rope arrow.
I did manage to
Climb up into the control room above the whilrpool. I was able to turn on the whirlpool access hatch button, but not the button above it labeled "access hatch light". Also, I swam down to the bottom of the whirlpool but couldn't see anywhere where a hatch had opened.
Anyway, after that I moved that crate from the control room and climbed down into a basement area with 2 guards, some storage boxes, a power panel and a big power switch. I could pull the switch but it quickly snaps back into place. I also frobbed the panel lever once and it worked, but I did not see any immediate effect.
Then I read the note about "keep trying" and then peered down that long, long hallway that seemed to be used for the transport of goods.
So anyway, this hallway has strong force that pushes against you, but you can proceed very slowly if you hold down your run button and hug the side of the wall.
So with lots of patience I was able to reach the OTHER side of this long access tunnel where I found a dead guard and the "stores key".
So anyway, my question is -- were you serious about us getting to the other side using this method. Because it did take quite a long time and I can't really beleive you meant for us to do that. Have I missed something obvious or major? Where is Durbage's body? Was I supposed to find that before all this -- thus preventing this desparate move?

EDIT:
I continued on a bit from where I ended up and did find his body. So now I have to assume that I did the right thing. Still not sure about what to do with this "Whirlpool access hatch", etc. I can't get that second button in the control room to stay "on". Not really sure where to use the rope arrow yet either.

You were right first time - you did go the wrong way! There is another entrance to the basement from the control room, and you take the express route along the moving walkway.Your second question has already been answered (

elkston: Think further about the Durbage objective! hint: Need the rope arrow + bridge made of wood? Might be coincidence, but...;)
My question: Anyone found all 3 secrets? I'm missing one and 70 loot.
Can't remember number 1 but 2 was some coins on a horizontal pipe near the vortex pool room

Ok... I probably must be overlooking something, but I can't seem to understand what I have to do.
I'm at the very beginning, just entered the east wing with the key Gwendolyn left, but beside some loot I do not now what to do... all doors are unfrobable.

You'll notice that there is a small living room below you that you can reach by jumping over a wooden railing.
Jump down into that room and look behind one of the vases there.
On an unrelated note, I was able to finish this mission even though I reached one of the areas in an ass-backwards kind of way (read my previous posts). I think I figured out how I was supposed to get there, but I didn't mess anything up by breaking the rules, so I just proceeded. I guess this is a minor example of "emergent" gameplay cause there is no way Fidcal expected that place could be reached as I did it.

Awcrap! Please tell me that there's a fast way out of the swamp area! I'm pretty overwhelmed not only by the zombies (which are bad enough), but also by all the other nasties lurking down there. I just seem to keep going in circles & ending up right where I started (in the swamp) and getting killed repeatedly. This part of the FM is like the seven circles of Hell for me!! Please tell me there's another way around!! :(
I'd like to continue with this FM, but things aren't looking very good right now.
There is a way out it's just tricky to see from where all the zombies are. I believe when you first come out of the tunnel if you look to your left there's a burrick in the mud correct?
Well go that way and cross the river of styx- :ebil: (The holy water came in handy but you can always easily sword down the zombies too)
Keep going and if you hug the wall to your left, I believe, you'll enter a tunnel with a ramp going up and water flowing down it. That's the way out of that hell hole area.
Hmm...If I remember correctly.
