Procession, any news about Dateline Cicely? ;)

I've tried playing Thief with a projector before, and while I thought it would be superawesome, it didn't really work out for me. I was using my keyboard and mouse setup which was awkward, but having the game that big gave me mild vertigo.
I'm not trying to be a sourpuss- I hope it works out for you- it just didn't for me.

I actually played T2X the first time with my old projector on the wall like this - very cool stuff.
I used a straight up Xbox 360 controller (wired), with Pinnacle Game Profiler to set up all the advanced controls (a VERY powerful and flexible piece of software!), thus allowing me to map basically everything to the controller, using a "shifted" set up to double the assignment options.

I hate you so much. I don't have walls in my apartment big enough to support this. I really hate you.

I bought a duff old projector from ebay for £4 or something. Life-size Thief is awesome fun.

Hrrrr what an envy!!
But in the future I wanna something like this! It's the best way for not ruinin g its own eyes.
I would put the projector on the ceiling, and the desktop at the centre of the room, so that tasting all the EAX sound.
That keypad you linked seems to me a crap, you should use with it only the inches, I guess; much better a normal keyboard.
Well, I could put it on the ceiling but I'll find me a good chiropractor first. :cheeky:
You're right about the EAX though. I heard a guard voice from the back right speaker the other night and it really sounded like he was standing there - scarred the hell out of me. This may sound naive, but when you've used a crappy pair of pc speakers for so many years the difference is phenomenal.

erm where do you live again ? ..... exactly :ebil:
Well, I could tell you but you'd have to leave your blackjack at the door, along with the crappy knife in your sock from Deadly Shadows. Seriously Ion Storm, what were you thinking.

LOL :D
Great thing - some more pics would be nice! Or even better: a video while you play the game!!! :)
The gamer keyboard seems to be not so nice expecially the "mouse" :weird:
Well, I have a video function on my digital camera but the resolution is crap. It's probably not worth it. If I had a proper cam corder I'd go for it.

Clearing, I'm touched that you remember my lil' old mission, but don't hold your breath. I have done a heap of work on it but it's nowhere near ready. I have probably fallen into what I suspect is a common trap of first time authors, which is being over ambitious and biting off more than my dromed brain can effectively chew. Also, another common mission killer (Real Life *tm) is also proving a major obstacle to getting it finished; just too many commitments.
Mind you, having said all this I made a pact to myself a while back that if I was ever going to release something that I would want it to be good and to be memorable - not some rushed generic crap that got thrown together in half an hour with no beta testing. I
do intend to finish it one day, but as to when....hmmmm.

Its really hard to replicate the accuracy of a mouse with a joystick. Maybe I need a keyboard with a trackball instead. Any ideas people

Sounds good Ben. I've got an old Logitech rublepad 2. Maybe I'll dust it off and give it a go. I also have a wireless 360 controller but couldn't see how I could make that work. Was your controller accurate enough. I'm really drawn to the wireless keyboard/trackball idea.

My commiserations to you Iroquois. :(
You know what, we need some brainiac to port Thief to the DS. I know other 3d games have been translated; doom, Heretic, Descent. Perhaps it's just too much for the hardware but imagine if it could be done.....
