To open the Master's safe, look on the opposite side of the room for a book that lights up. As for the metal door, you need the key off of the guard practicing with his sword. It's labeled "Armoury Key".

I can't find the gold key that is talked about in the note in the master bedroom. It says it's near the bed but I've searched everywhere. I assume it opens the safe on the wall? I've got the two keys for the secret room pedestals but still need the head. I'm hoping it's in the safe.

Gee, thanks for making me feel even dumber! And you want to hear the worst part? I played the earlier version but never finished it. However, I found that key the first time around with no problem. As Homer Simpson would say, "D'OH!"
