I also have some problems in TootV. I am in the basement (in the room behind the hidden door) and have the silver and bronze keys and the king's head. I can put the keys into the "keyholes" and two "laser beams" extend towards the ceiling. But now what: I don't seem to be able to do anything with the head. Putting the head on the middle pedestal doesn't work.
Any hints welcome...
Oh, btw, I am playing on "hard"

You're on the right track. You have to put the head on the center pedestal. Sitting it inside the star shape should cause a yellow light to appear over the head, and that gradually turns into a beam of light. Then, a portal appears on the wall that you can walk through.

Hi,
Am I the only one who can't past Fly-man to silver key? Been searching the thread for tips and found none. Playing on Normal...
I can't sneak behind him because the light reveals me each time. Help!

Sneaking by him doesn't work really well. You can leave the doors open when you enter, sneak over into the shadows and then alert him by shooting an arrow. If you can stay out of his sight, when he gives up searching and starts to walk back to his spot, you can BJ him. You can always just kill him, too. He's not hard to kill as long as he still looks fully human. He isn't really human, though, so killing him is allowed.
You could also try just flashbombing him, running over to grab the key and then getting the heck out of there! :)

Hi!
As usual, I post and then I figure it out :P I shot two vine arrows up, then Tarzan'd until I was behind him. One whach with the blackjack, and fly guy was down.
Finished the mission after that with a sense of great fun. I'm running out of good missions to play!
Am I guessing correctly that the dead body on the ceiling is the construction guy?

I am really enjoying this level, or was until I got stuck. I am searching frantically for the basement.. i have all the keys, all of the ancient keys (for the temple i assume) but i cannot for the life of me find the basement, perhaps i have already found it, i just need to find a secret... please help

Welcome to the forum, belalugosi! There are no morons here, by the way, including yourself. We all get stuck and have to ask for help! :)
There is a small cellar directly across from the garden doors. Go down into it and search for a small lever on the wall opposite the door. :)
