this is a great mission and i am enjoying it immensely, only one problem: where is the seal? i have found that portal and those keys, but the seal evades this tired taffer here.

You've found the portal. Have you activated it yet? You need to use the ancient bronze key on one side pedestal, the ancient silver one on the other side one and put the head you found with the gold seal on the center one. Once it's activated, jump through and explore. You should be able to find your way to the seal, I think. :)

I just finished this one myself, very enjoyable. I think my most preferred type of FM is a more 'classic' style with a large mansion or castle and human guards, as opposed to undead or beasties in caves or 'alternate' world areas. Having said that, I can still enjoy a good undead bizarro romp. I finished Bloodstone Prison recently and it was quite good. I also prefer blackjacking over ghosting or whatever other playstyles there are. I haven't been reading this board long enough to pick up all the lingo yet. :p And since I'm not the most skilled Thief player out there, I'm usually doing a quicksave every few minutes, though mostly out of caution. I can't be the only one!

ohhhh, i KNEW the head had something to do with it. i tried to put it on there, but it didn't highlight or anything. i'll give it another crack tonight

Order Of The Vine (I play it in Normal):
I have found the two very old keys (any relations here to the lost city, eh?), but still I can't open at least one door. So I have some questions...
1.) The door that I can't open:
There is a room where the levers for the alarm system are. When I go out of this room and in the hallway to the right, the next door to the right (a metal door) I cannot open. No key fits and I can't pick it.
2.) Where do that two strange keys fit?
3.) Is there anything of interest in the room where Giblet was? The room is very strange and there are some ropes hanging down from the floor, but I did not find anything but the two old keys here.
4.) From the great hall with the stairs there is a double-door that leads to three other doors (I believe here is the main entrance). I can't open the doors (one left, one right and the large doors in the middle, this one looks like the cathedral-door in "Return to the Cathedral").
5.) Is there anything of interest down the toilets in the dark water area? I was going here and was stuck there for a longer time until I have found a way out of this area...
6.) Is there anything of interest in the Master's room in the upperst floor?

I can't recall the specific doors you mentioned, I'm afraid, but there is an area you can't get into on Normal, so those doors could lead to that area.
There's nothing else of interest in Giblen's room.

There's nothing important in the water under the toilets on Normal, only on Expert, I believe. There's on room down there where you may find a bit of equipment, but I don't think there's any loot in there (though I can't be sure).
The Ancient Keys are very important. Once you've [SPOILER] found another ancient key, a gold one, you need to use it on a pyramid displayed in a room with a big table. Take the item that gets you, plus the other two keys and go explore the basement room that is across from the garden doors. Check it extremely carefully. [/SPOILER]
