Just exit from the front gate, you have to walk past a drawbridge to get out.

On Normal, you use the back gate with the single guard but you have to find the key first.
On Expert (and Hard, too I think) you go out across the drawbridge. You have to sneak out there and lower it first, though. :)

The approach to the guards on the great hall's main door looks tough at first, but if you stay on the wall, stay absolutely quiet, etc, you can seak up and blackjack first the one guard from this side, then the other from the other side. Guards seem to have a 180-degree field of vision, and you'll be just beyond it. Once you're through the door, the guards on the drawbridge are no problem. I don't know if it's possible to ghost past the guards in the hall, I'm not good enough to try it.

Wow!!! What a GREAT mission!!!
I do have a bit of a problem though, I have carried Horton back to his bedroom and deposited him beside his bed, but the objective does not check off. I even went ahead and ran out to the streets, figuring maybe it would trigger then, but no.
Another funny thing, I went back to Horton's room thinking maybe I needed to close both doors (I had managed to get one open, and one closed), when I corrected this, one of the servants/guests wearing purple colored clothes appeared running around the light in the middle of the ceiling, has anyone else experienced this?

Somebody! Anybody! Please helpppppppp!

I wish I could help but I have no idea what would cause the thing with the person on the ceiling. As for Horton, are you sure you're putting him in the correct room? I've never heard of anyone having problems with objectives not checking off in this FM so I have no idea what else could be wrong.

Yeah, it's the room at the top of the spiral staircase with the note posted on it to Horton from the Captain of the Guard.
I sort of completed the objectives a bit out of order. I wound up going through the portal, killing everything down there (including the "Master"), except the spider (I just run by it very fast), then I got the "seal", picked up Horton and headed out. I took him to his room, dumped him, then went to the vault.
Could completing these objectives out of order, so to speak, have caused this?

I really can't say but it sounds like you've done pretty much everything. Perhaps you just hit some weird bug that I haven't heard mentioned here before.

I've dispatched the master and his two buddies, but can't get out of the pyramid. That ledge is just out of jump range or so it seems. can anyone offer a hint?
Thanks

I haven't played this in a while, but you can get out of there, but can't remember exactly...rope arrow? Or is the ceiling made of stone? Anyway, look around. Great choice for a mission. I remember that you go back the way you came (obvious, right?) to escape. Sorry. I should play the mission again soon.
