I'll chime in to echo the cautious words of Sly, Brethren and DrK, and also to cheer you on if you have the time and drive to attempt even one of the 10-mission campaigns. My own behemoth is 9-10 missions and it's been in the works for 10 years now, off and on. Good luck!

Wow! Sounds Impressive! Good luck, pal... :D

Course, if you do succeed it will be the single greatest achievement in the history of video game fan contributions ever.
Also, this just came to mind:

EDIT: Curses. My old image host sucks so the above is invisible to you all. :p

Not seeing any prior FMs, at least on the English side. Russian, perhaps? How many have you actually released to the public?
When I was into Quake II, I re-created every Doom and Doom II level (60 levels, IIRC), and that took a long, long time. But that was simple stuff, since the maps only had to be referenced. No objectives, to speak of. Just throw in the AI. No furniture, plant life, etc.
DromEd is a whole different bitch. LOTS of things to attend to and the beta-testers will make your hair go white.

Man, go for quality over quantity. Make each mission push dromed's limits and I'm sure your vision can be squeezed within some 5-10 FMs (unless you're truly crazy :D) (maybe with some additional mini-missions for additional storytelling & whatnot).
Also post some screens of your work as you go along, okay? It'd be nice to see what's up for menu!

I have released I think 5 missions and I can tell you the time to complete missions is always a lot longer than you estimate. Best thing to do is complete one or two of the missions and plan from there. I am a slow builder but no one has ever created something of this magnitude alone.
All that being said, best of luck. We can always use more authors.

Hey folks, sorry for the radio silence, It's been one craaazy time. I've been working on my objects/weapons/etc but also having a minor lover's quarrel with 3ds max so I'm now working on building mission 1 until I can resolve it. Thanks again for all the advice and support, you've all been great at welcoming a fellow taffer to the fold. I'll be posting some progress shots over the next few days so let me know what you think :D

Steamrolling right past the people calling the scope of your project crazy with talk of progress and screenshots - I like your style :laff:
That being said I look forward to playing this campaign in 2025 ;)

i always wondered if looking glass would have stayed in business what the correct thief story line would have been after thief 2.
t2x was a great alternate storyline and the end was amazing how they fit it in with Garrett,i look very forward to this project when it comes out i hope in parts and not all at once,so you can learn new things along the way ,good luck

I have to agree this is crazy, but I like crazy. I did some sound work for The Hammerite Imperium, and I'm in whether or not it's released because I just love doing the creatives. I can voice act, sfx, ambient music. I know you like to keep the team small but it's my strong opinion to have a large team, like LGS, to make each level. I don't see any other way.
