Hm? Oh, no, daedric weapons have the highest, I'm almost certain of it. But out of staffs, Wooden has 7. You'd thing a Dreugh staff would be higher, but it isn't. Nor is Silver or Steel.

Ebony staff has 90
Daedric staff has 21
Wooden staff has 7 (like you said)
Steel staff also has 7
Dreugh has 6
Silver has 5
Glass has 4
And for a note bonemold bow has 40 and ebony scimitar has 80

Hm. Did you check steel? I was sure it had 6.
Pisces on 2/8/2005 at 08:10
I'm fairly sure, I can't double check cause my CS is currently froozen.

I think there's a short guide at the top of this forum (a sticky.) But:
Enchantment value is the amount of enchanments you can put into an item. For example, enchanting a sword with 10pts. Fire Damage for 1 second might take 6 enchantment points. Whereas 50pts. Fire Damage for 5 seconds might take upwards of 50 enchantment points. So obviously items are limited in the amount of magic you can enchant them with.

Just?!
I already gave you my guide to making a magic character, (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98601). I can't let just give you a character build, the secret to enlightment is finding it out for yourself.
Oh and Ryushi, I just double checked, steel is the same enchant value as wooden. Plus it has an 7 max damage for slash and chop rather than 6, while the rest of the stats are the same except for price.

Just pick any armor type of your choice (preferrably light or unarmored) and any weapon type of your choice (blunt weapon for style, longblade for practicality). Make those your major skills. Destruction should also be a major skill. Next, choose any other two magic skills you like for major. Illusion and Alteration come in handy.
For your five minor skills, choose the last five magic classes as well as Alchemy.
Oh, and be sure to choose a high elf or Breton (both get magic modifiers - .5x for the Breton, and 1.5x for the High Elf?) and choose either the Atronach or the Apprentice. I recommend the Apprentice. 2x magic might be a lot, but without being able to regenerate it when you sleep, you're powerless.
Also, I found this for you:
