I was just 5 minutes ago taking a pleasant stroll through Tonnochi road, having just dusted off a couple of shifty guys discussing drugs in an alley somewhere. Anyway, being the good citizen than I am, ran to help a policeman who had just seen something and screamed. I ran up and found him standing over the body of May Sung, who, err, 'fell' out of Ms. Chow's apartment. I was about to go and comfort the poor guy for his traumatic experience, when the bastard turned and shot me through the head! Arrgh! Press load key and woohoo...it's back to the Versalife building with 5 pissed off cops shooting at me.

LoL....that's a good one. How in the hell did he know you killed her? Oh...yeah...it's called computer AI :)

Maybe he saw me cackling evily silhouetted by a lightning strike from Ms. Chow's room as the lifeless form of May Sung toppled and landed with a hideous crunch at his feet. :)
Next time I pass him by, I'll be sure to vandalise his robot.

A similar thing happened to me..
I was in Liberty Island, and walked to the UNATCO HQ and suddenly the guys at the gate started to shoot at me, I didn't do a thing on my way there... I had played the game for about 3 min! That's strange!

On the subject of random shootings, has anyone else get blasted by Shea the bartender? I was attacked, totally unprovoked, only a few minutes after buying a bottle of forty from her on the way back from the NSF HQ to meet Paul. What the hell was she thinking? If course, she had to die.

The AI in DX can be really obnoxious. I was replaying Liberty Island the other day and hacked the turret at the main entrance to the statue to attack the little security bot. Then I went and hid a ways away, out of sight to watch the carnage. As soon as the first bullet strikes the bot, he turns and immediately begins bearing down on my position. Frickin' omnipotent robots.

I had the same 'bot experience; that's cruel and unusual.Enemies shouldn't know your position instantly not having seen you attack another object/character.

Bots can be evil...
In the same place, Tonnochi road, as I was heading back for round 2 with the cop who originally shot me, I tranquilised the cop and watched as he only just made it round to the alarm. Of course his big evil bot started moving, so I ran inside Queen's Towers and chucked a scramble grenade at it. It worked, but then the bot turned and slaughtered some poor bum on the streets with rockets and all! Of course, the bot had to go after that, so I rocketed it off of the face of the earth.

The first time I played Deus Ex I quicksaved my azz off, but that´s what you get after having played too much half-life...
Example: Hostage situation in Battery Park subway, I was in the ventilation shaft in the wall and shot one of the guys with a tranq dart, then hid, quicksaved, then shot another one, then hid, quicksaved... Repeat this about five-six times.
Gus - compulsive quicksaver (but I´m learning as i go...)
