Not per se, just no takers. Its not that big of a deal, all the info I'm gathering goes into opde, just thought I could help others until a source release (which most likely will never happen) via code hacks.

Was this through PMs or a thread you started? Certainly things have changed, but with EM reading threads like this, I'd like to hear an industry insider's opinion.

and with the source code, many ten-year-old limitations can be removed or worked around to unhinder creativity.
Can you please expound upon these, for those who may have missed them?

Ok, for example (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127587) this thread just recently. I offered to try and track down these errors yet it was like I never even posted.
Again I'm not offended or anything, just bewildered...

It's possible that people just don't realise what you mean.

Well, now that we're getting the hint, I guess we can see what happens now. A sincere thanks to you, Displacer. Donating time, knowledge, chutzpah, resources, kidneys...

Could very well be. I suppose I could just start a new thread and offer there.

I think another good reason for wanting the source code, before worring about removing limits or other improvements, is getting it to actually work properly on modern computers. Hackary like ddfix will never work 100%.

Besides I'm the one doing the reverse engineering and I have no problem with it
What I'm suggesting is that other people might have a problem with you doing the reverse engineering (which breaks the EULA) and therefore did not want what you were offering.
From my point of view, all we would need is an announcement by Rene that we may decompile DromEd and may distribute modified versions to existing Thief2 owners.

Oh I agree completely, but its looking like that's not going to happen. I mean they have been actively looking for it for some time now and still have come up empty which does not bode well. Code hacks are a real pain to do but it may be all we will ever have.
