The funny thing is, Eidos could release a new version of classic Thief that would be a smaller file size, but have better quality sound/graphics/video. Codecs have come a LONG way from the MS-PCM stuff they used in the 1990s and Indeo video.
*Imagines Thief re-released with Vorbis Q4 audio files at 44 KHz*

Yes, it would be nice to play the revamped versions of ol' good T1&T2. But such a work requires some resources. Eidos should be assured that the revamped T1&T2 would be sold at least 1 million. Otherwise...otherwise this work will eventually be done by some enthusiasts.

Yeah, they know that they can let the fan community do stuff like that and then publicly declare their support for it and get some free good PR for it. Eidos is a buisiness after all. :sly:

Games come on DVDs now. Thief fits on a single CD (possibly two... it's been a while since I did a reinstall). It's already tiny by modern standards.

TDP was just one CD - 270MB of core game files and 316MB of movies. So yes, tiny by today's standards.

Dangit, there's lots of double-signings. Good thing we've already gotten their attention!

I've made some cleaning.
jtr7 on 25/9/2009 at 11:33
I'm glad you can do that. Makes sense.

I've noticed a strange thing during the cleaning: nobody of ex-LGS has signed this petition as far as I can see :(. Am I wrong?

I wouldn't expect it, but it would be cool if someone did.
