Although the end result looks to be the same, I really am glad that our voices have been heard. Everytime an Eidos company is absorbed into another company, or the assets are liquidated, I keep thinking it's just going to make it that much harder to recover any LGS goodies. On the other hand, new people going through the stuff as they pack it, or load a moving van, and move materials to another storage facility may discover a long lost treasure (yes, fantasy mode). I would only hope that there are backups in extent locations...

I have it on good authority that at least one of the Ion Storm devs had the Dark source code in 2001 while working on T3. So it apparently made it outside Boston and survived to after LGS had closed down. If someone here can somehow make use of this info to ask the right person the right question, then maybe we'll get incredibly lucky and it will turn up after all.

Did that authority give you a name for said dev? :cheeky:
I've already messaged Warren Spector which wasn't much help. All the info he could offer me was that Crystal Dynamics was given the Thief 3 source when Ion Storm Austin shut down, but that is not the Dark Engine obviously.
