d'Spair, New Horizon: Like I said, I will say nothing until July.

Probably a Thief 4 teaser...
Unless the higher ups actually found the source code and told Rene, I don't think he's in a position to actually promise too much.
Kidding aside, if it was Thief 4 teaser, I doubt Rene would've revealed that to MoroseTroll. The thing is most definitely related to the source-codes issue.
My guess would be that in July Rene will come and state that Eidos had officially lost the assets, and everybody may chill out. But why wait till July, then?

If they've "officially" lost the assets, then it'd require the lawyers to have a look at it first before he tells us. I guess they want to cover their asses if someone pops up the next day waving the code around and says "Oh this! I thought you were looking for a 1980 Spectrum game" ;)

Let's wait for René ;).
No point in waiting and counting numbers. (
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=110622) René left Eidos Montreal on Saturday. Since he was probably the only person at Eidos who could theoretically try to look for the source codes, I guess it's time to finally let go of this issue.
Oh, and by the way, the fact that the community manager decided to leave the studio at the time when DXHR needed as much promotion as possible doesn't seem like a good sign. I guess the man has probably grown tired of defending third person cover system, health regeneration, 'franchise reboot' and the rest of the awkward design decisions, as well as the Thi4f logo, in front of the outrageous forums community.

Are you still waiting for July?
MoroseTroll on 28/6/2010 at 11:55
Yes. Please don't panic - when the time will come, I'll inform the Thief-community.

I have no idea why you think I panic.
MoroseTroll on 28/6/2010 at 14:36
Sorry, there was my misspelling - I have meant "worry" instead of "panic".

I hope you're wrong. And on a positive note, I think the Deus Ex trailer looks fucking awesome. Of course that doesn't really say much, other than that they know how to make trailers... But if the trailer is that awesome, it's a pretty good indication of the game IMO.
