What was the outcome of the idea to find the dark engine source code for System Shock 2?

Irrational Games said they had no idea where it was.

@MoroseTroll: Okay okay - July it is. Tell us the secret already  ;)

My money is here: The Dark Engine is actually the artificial intelligence simulation of a hamster called George. He receives user input and his imagination is then rendered on-screen. The source code cannot be released for ethical reasons.
Am I close?
MoroseTroll on 1/7/2010 at 16:58
Neb: Yeah, close enough:joke:!

Whats the cloak and dagger crap about ? Why dont you just tell us, or do we need to wait for new horizon to check his inbox and then HIM tell us ?
MoroseTroll on 2/7/2010 at 17:47
Thelvyn: Sorry, I have no authority to talk about the status of the Dark Engine source, but I know who has - some Eidos employee. Let's wait for this person. How long should we wait? I don't know.
