It's been done.
I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself there.

Who said what to whom, about discovering the source code? Who can possibly confirm this so that I may shut up once more?
It doesn't matter who told what to whom. A taffer went digging around for the code by contacting former Looking Glass developers and found the code. That's it.

Fine... it's been proof-of-concepted in unreleased form.

Last I heard was that it had to be run by the legal department...or some such thing. Apparently Eidos was supposed to have had a meeting about it, but that's all I've heard. I'm pretty sure everyone knows what's going on by now anyway. Source code was found in the possession of a former LGS developer, source code was then handed to Eidos for deliberation. This was....how long ago now, and still nothing?
Wait, wait, what!?!!?:wot: Are you actually saying the source code has been found!? I have to ask this, but who's your source of this information? (Yeah, I haven't been following the thread closely.) I don't need a name, I'm just asking how you got it... if it was just someone that "heard" this, or if you were emailed by an Eidos employee.

Doesn't anyone, like, you know, read the thread anymore? :tsktsk:
sNeaksieGarrett on 20/10/2010 at 04:29
No, like, totally not dude.
Say whatever you want, but I do have a life outside of this forum like other people. The reason I even came here was because I got one of those emails letting me know there was a new post to the thread. I'm sorry if I don't follow your standards for forum use.
NOTICE: this was all based on what I interpreted your post to be, which I saw as an attack. If you were not intending to take a stab at me, then I apologize for the above. Move along now, nothing to see here.
On a more on topic note.... If what New Horizon claims is true, it's great news. Even though nothing has been released to the public, the fact that the code actually is backed up is awesome.

Ok, it was me who have contacted that former LGS employee, but please don't ask me his/her name because I've no his/her permission to state it. The source has been transferred to Eidos Montréal at the beginning of February 2010 for sure - both Eidos Montréal employee and former LGS employee have confirmed that fact. That's all since then.

Sent an email to RPS. Here's to hoping they cover the story.
