Still, this is actually far from legal. I'd be quite reluctant to invest too much in this until the legal stuff is worked out with Eidos. Especially as this source tree is incomplete and nobody knows which version it is, etc. Eidos is probably sitting on a much better source package.

I'll leave this to others but lgd3d is just a wrapper around either D3D or software implementation - that thing could be written again in the matter of weeks.
Just so. But there's also some other stuff missing. How important that missing stuff is, I don't know yet.

Might be a good time to take it in a different direction...port it into OpenGl....then it will pave the way for letting it run natively on Linux and Mac.
Unfortunately lgd3d is just a piece of a puzzle... Let's see what comes out of this :)

Well I'm happy to be here on this historic occasion. :thumb:
Be nice just to read the code... Like opening an ancient scroll buried for millennia, full of secrets you can't entirely understand but you feel the words have a magical power that rubs off on you just by reading it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Eidos is sitting on the exact same package. And we are extremely lucky to get it this way because the package we have hasn't got System Shock 2 data stripped.
