I'm somewhat interested, but I'd be more inclined to support this if there were some kind of demo, prototype, proof of concept, or other evidence that this dev team can work together and produce something. Call me skeptical, but the success rate isn't good. If I had a dime for every announcement of a promising game or mod that never came to fruition...
