ok you got some kind of error,i had the same thing with solstice mission first time,i though it was just a video,ended up finding out it was an actual mission so i regot entire mission,and it worked the next time
so my best advice is ,maybe redo entire mission and see if you get it ?
or ask one of the many advanced people ,how to directly start up the hidden missions,from the file,i forgot how,but i am sure its just like starting the blooper mission in thief gold?

I'm looking into that. I think it might be a quicksave issue. Quicksaves can cause problems.

I've made it to Solstice... and I have no idea what to do. I checked the walkthrough, but I can't get to the first location for boots, the potions don't seem to do anything. This one might have beaten me already. Any advice?

To get the boots, first you must get the first key. Getting keys will bring objects that weren't there before. This is just like the NES version of the game.
OK. The potions are suppose to do as follows:
BLUE = Able to touch enemies and certain blue blocks without dying (current room only).
PURPLE = Teleports you back to the starting area.
YELLOW = Allow objects to stay in mid-air after dropping them (current room only).
GREEN = Reveals hidden objects and take out false ones (current room only).

Hello. Stuck getting to cold storage. I'm on a porch and can go W or S. Either way leads around to a well but I can't see how to get across to the CS area? I can see one round exploding platform in the distance if I go the W way around, but it is too far to jump to. Can anyone help?

Actually if you go the W route off the porch to the first little stone, I have found that you can catch the little stone off in the distance. But this leads you to san archway in front of a passageway with the cold storage shed off to your left. And there seems to be no way to get from the safe archway to the shed off to your left. Could someone confirm whether I am going the right way, and there is indeed a way from arch to shed, or do need to find another route to the shed?

I have problem in the Urban Conflict mission.
I'm in the room with 4 Tricksters and the countdown. On the right there is room with many levers and switches. Somehow I managed to open left door leading to stairs. There is 5th Constantine and 2 locked doors. And here is my problem: I can't open any of these 2 doors.
HELP!

Going in that room is a death trap. As "I" told you while you enter that room, I don't want a timeline paradox. All you can do in there is die. It's like the countdown ending in the game "The Stanley Parable".
However, there is a better ending.
