So Sulphur was pissing up a storm about how Fallout New Vegas is unavailable for him in GANGE-land, and it got me thinking. We have quite a number of people who have trouble purchasing games because they're either not sold in their country, are locked out of a game on Steam for being in said country, or both.
So I thought it might be worthwhile to have a thread dedicated to, basically, "Hey, Steam fucked me and I can't buy this game, if you gift it to me I'll pay you back."
Setup is simple, someone requests a game they can't access, someone else lets them know they're filling the request, either via PM or in the thread or both. Remember to provide appropriate contact info like your email or Steam username!
No welshing on the deal. If you can't pay, don't play.

Yeah yeah, Gange-land, I geddit. At this point, I'd make an utterly tasteless joke about having a 747 flying into your house, but my sister's a god damn air hostess. :erg:
Anyway, I am indeed up for a copy of New Vegas, and will pay the requisite $$$ amount or gift a game to you of equal value. Steam name is the gayest thing I could think of that wasn't taken: crimsonwing
PM me if you don't mind helping me get my fill of hopelessly bugridden RPG goodness.
Thanks for coming up with this thread, dethy!

I don't mind gifting you the game if you want; send me a PM and we'll sort something out.
All I ask in return is that you send your sister my way.

It's not just region-locking that you have to worry about, but getting screwed over by regional pricing too. Eg the two last CoD's are priced at $89 USD on Steam for Australasian customers.
Always compare prices against your local by viewing the various different regional versions of Steam.
Eg:-
(
http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us) US
(
http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=uk) UK
Activision, 2K Games, Sega and EA are all guilty of this bullshit in the past, on Steam.
P.S.
Oh yeah, best of luck with the thread, dethtoll. Let's hope that non-gaming Commchat fucktards don't come in and threadshat it with their excessive drolling like they did with the previous attempt.

Left 4 Dead 2 proper version, wasn't available here in Australia for purchase, only the piece of shit censored version which wasn't worth playing. Pretty much everyone just downloaded a pirated version instead cause of it. Piracy ftw aye :p.

I've got the censored version, somehow I've manage to spend nearly 100 hours playing a piece of shit not worth playing.

Anyone from the US willing to get me some games from today's specials? I can pay through PayPal. It's 8 games so it will take 2-3 minutes to add them all to the cart and pay for them. But in exchange, you'll have my gratitude and my promise to pester you with more requests in the next few days as new specials come up. :D
8 games (worth 35 dollars)... I really didn't need all that money sitting in my wallet, honest :(
