I always considered the Omar to be cool, same with Helios, that's why those are my two favorite endings (cyborgs and AI rock!).
I wasn't disappointed in any of the endings at all.

That's why you choose that ending? Heh. I choose it because I was ticked at all the people using me for their own ends. Everyone manipulates you.

The only way to keep things as they are is for the game to never end; the factions, and their checks-and-balances against one another, left in place.
Then why wasn't there an option to upload the Aquinas Protocols to yourself, thus leaving all the factions intact, but without their objective?

Except all the leaders would survive, and they wouldn't be powerless... they would have exactly the same amount of power as before.

Well, there'd be a winner - the next time something or someone capable of Changing the Fate of The World came up. Until then, they would continue their work the same way they'd been doing it.
At least, that's why my mind is telling me would happen.

I've not played it in a while, but remind me, what is it the Illuminati want you to do?

Upload the Aquinas Protocols to their orbiting space station.
I think. It's been quite a while since I played it.
