So I just received Resident Evil 2 & 3 for Gamecube in the mail, I missed both of these games the first time around. Should I replay REmake beforehand or just press on with RE2?
Cheers

Remake is light years ahead of RE2/3 graphics wise, they will look especially dated if played just after it. Press on with RE2.

I'm not fickle, nor a graphics whore. Also I normally can adapt when there's "missing features". Does your recommendation still stand?

Well, the difference is truly staggering, and as an overall experience, I think RE2 and 3 will come up rather short after having played the remake. It's your roll of the dice, though.

Right, which of the three games doesn't have 180 degree quick turn?
Cheers.

RE2 didn't have the 180.
Personally I loved RE2, RE3 had most of the "3rd in the series" problems that many games had, where it was just "more" rather than an improvement. (Tomb Raider 3, Halo 3[i should say 2], etc.)
REmake was amazing. It's debatable whether or not your experience is better with or without having played the original RE.

RE3 is hands down the weakest entry in the series, and feels more like an expansion pack to 2 than anything else. It's safer to consider Code Veronica the "true" third game.
Also, I'm not sure but I think the N64 version of RE2 has the 180. I'd have to doublecheck.

I'd have to disagree there, RE2 is probably still my favourite, but imo 3 was better than Code Veronica, which I just couldn't stand after a while. CV was a sequel too far and the last proper RE game that follows the traditional model. I wasn't impressed with the puzzles either.
Maybe it was just that CV had that creepy tranny/upper class guy who's laugh was enough to make me want to turn off the console.

Is anybody else upset that RE5 doesn't have awful voice acting?

No.
And as to CV... it was boring, but it was a fuck of a lot better than RE3. That's not saying I hated 3, it's just... not that great.
