And as to CV... it was boring, but it was a fuck of a lot better than RE3.
I found it to be just the opposite. CV was kinda boring compared to other REs, ridiculously easy/not challenging, and featured horribly low-res and low-poly 3d graphics (for PS2 standards at least), while 3 had at least some innovations in game mechanics and looked good (I played the latter on PC).

REmake still aggravates me with the worst 'unlock' in all of RE history - the chases you around, if you shoot him you die instantly zombie who you cannot turn off and ruins your good new game + save.

I've started playing RE2. I'm grateful that a side-effect of porting it to different hardware is the removal of that bizarre texture/object warping and pop-up that affects PS1 games. I always hated those anomalies, they're even there when playing emulated PS1 games on PC, PS3 and PSP.

That's a strange thing to say considering that 95% of RE2 is pre-rendered.

*sigh* Have you played Final Fantasy VII and VIII (the latter especially) for PS1 specifically? The polygonal models upon prerendered backdrops still suffered from the pop-up. The original point still stands.

Is Code Veronica worth picking up?
* The Gamecube version is fairly rare, thus expensive.
* The PAL PS2 version is an abomination of a bad NTSC->PAL conversion - massive borders and ~20% less the of the speed of the NTSC version (50Hz only).
* The NTSC-U/C PS2 version is common and cheap, but I really can't be bothered getting my PS2 chipped this late in the game.

If you're fan of RE, it is. If not, I doubt it. RE0-5 all are better than it.

Ta. I'll probably have hear more opinions.
I'm on 2nd run of RE2 at the moment (Leon scenario A), the game seems to have a lot of replay value (more meaningful than your usual unbalanced super guns and alternative costumes).
Does RE3 have similar replayability?
