Hi The Mike. As you can see, I have a limited vocabulary.....I can only say "Thanks!" every time. A thank you for playing and for the compliments. Which make me happy! :D
BTW, Why
"Sneaking through the abandoned hammerite complex and the crypt sword-less. Probably the single most tense moment in an FM ever. I was honestly sweating bullets."
Din't you find
the sword?Yeah...entirely too late. In fact, I think
finding the sword
was the very last thing I did in the FM. But I'm a little confused...don't you need the key for sewer access 2 that you get right after leaving the hammerite complex in order to get it?

Nooo, it was
on the blacksmith counter, almost at the beginning. :)
...But isn't the gate to the blacksmith's house closed tight on night one? I accessed it WAY later from the sewer and when I saw the lever on the back of the gate which opened it I figured that was the natural progression of things. I'M SO CONFUSED!!!! :joke:
Yes,
the gate on the streets is closed, but when you get the very first rope arrow I supposed the player to use it to enter the Judge window above. From there you go into the judge's cellar and in the sewers, where is the blacksmith laboratory.
But the players don't always do what you have in mind. :cheeky:

The Mike,
you can access the black smiths via the sewers from basso's place. Yes in the very beginning of night #1.
Actually, it is almost the very first thing you can do.
Exit Basso's, turn left, go to the corner and turn left, go past the creamery and through the arch. Get the arrow. Put the arrow into the wooden balks above the grate. Go into Fowley's, get the key, enter cellar, go to Blacksmith *don't forget the key at Basso's sewer entrance*, get weapons. Exit to street. You can explore the general area and try to mix it up with the guards, but with only a BJ and 1 picklock, the clue of the arrow almost forces you to go that way.
There are only three places in that first section
four if you count the police station where you even think about the possiblity that arrow presents. :)
The police station, I avoided the top all together, damn guard up there spotted me every time. Could be the timing. I placed 3 rope arrows in a row and jumped over to the right, where the monkey is, got in that way. And for neatness, retrieved my arrows, I got the guard later.
Wow, I feel so incredibly dumb.
Oh well. At least I saved the lives of about a dozen haunts I would have otherwise backstabbed- so that's something.

Oh, but it was much more exciting that way, wasn't it? :ebil:

Don't feel dumb. Just slow down next FM or mission you play and consider what you have, what you see, and what you can do with the tools and information.

I have to laugh at this one. Last time I checked, a Haunt, was already dead and lifeless. But I know what you mean, but it is funny thinking you "saved" thier lives.
By the way, nice work if you got all the loot in the crypts without them catching you and without "killing" any haunts. :p
