Read your PM. And go back a page or two and read the answers to the questions you have asked.
You have been told many times how to continue. There is only that particular way to do it. So read and Do...
Or never get past that first area, as it seems you won't, ever, if you keep futzzing around.

I know you mean well TheBlackman but I've made every effort not to see spoilers even unsubscribing from this thread every time I post but now you've sent me a pm with a spoiler right in the heading so I see it as soon as I come to ttlg is a bit much!
I would have appreciated a pm if it was obvious something was broke like a script missing or something but please, no other spoilers unless I ask. :) I really wanted to solve this on my own and was only posting to share the experience. :thumb:

Fidcal: Huh ??? After 7 hours ?! What a brave man... Keep us informed - it's near so adventurous to see other people go through mission I know, as playing it. :thumb:

You kept asking how to get through. If you were just venting, then you should have said so instead of "I can't ....
So be it. Good luck. And be more clear next time, or better yet don't say anything.

Wow! Just finished. It`s not easy but with a little bit of patience and thinking all is possible (besides all the loot, all the secrets).
This is the very best mission (ok, 3 and a prelude) I ever played.
What an enourmos effort,Lady Rowena!!
What a great story!
What great creatures!
What a great sound design!
What... ok, I could go on for hours. What an great last day in 2007!
This is what Thief is all about. And I never thought that the 3. mission could be so very good thinking that my favourite type of missions are
city missions
.
The final is sooooooooooo cooooooooooool.

I just started last night - still playing through night 1. I had to stop by and tell you what an amazing mission I think this is so far! The gamplay you've achieved is really inspirational, as is the city's design!
Thank you very much for this masterpiece! (it must have taken you ages to get all this done!)

OMG, just returned to the forum after a long hiatus. :)
My PC died and I've now got a spanking new one.... and EXTREMELY happy to celebrate my return by playing this new mission by Lady Rowena!
Excellent timing...how cool is that?!
Thank you.... *downloading now* :thumb:

I decided to play this again, this time on my new machine. I was using XP before. Now playing under Vista, and my new LCD monitor, omg this looks soooo awesome. Found a few more tweaks for the game, got rid of the crappy looking sky box issue, still have a bit of a poly flickering issue with the AI, its minor, I can deal with it. Thief looks superb on this newer machine, yeah, its the new monitor, bye bye CRT. I'm actually quite surprised at how well it looks. This is the way Thief should look. :p :)
Running through it again, finding more secrets this time, worthy of another replay. :thumb:

Hi BrArts
I know what you mean, I spent 3months buying&trying have a doszen monitors untill I settled on the one I wanted - NEC 20WGX2pro. It has the best black levels of any monitor Ive seen or tested. "Movie mode" made seven sisters look absolutly stunning. I spoent more time looking around at how cool the shadows and lighting was than playing the game...LOL
There did used to be a draw back with the monitor I bought, in that its was bloody exspensive for a 20", but then 4weeks before xmas the price dropped by £50 so I said taff it I`ll have it.
Thief is so much better on a
good lcd than on a crt, but make sure that the lcd you get has vgood black levels, good vwide viewing angles, good respose time, and reasonable to good colours. The nec was far better than its nearest competitor (dell 2007wfp) and was onbly £50 more.
