Carry on to Night 2, Gillie and you'll find out more about the cat.

Just got to this mission, it is beautiful, but I have a couple WTF? moments... Major one being, is there anything reachable by climbing up the crypt's roof? I managed to jump off there to the wall surrounding the cathedral, but whichever direction I go, I bump into an invisible barrier. Well, actually, one of the invisible barriers is climbable, too, but then there's another not long after.

CheeseshireCat: No, after you've admired the lovely view you'll be wasting your time up there.

Fidcal's Log : Day 18 - Finally finished! gamesave time 13:45 + 09:30-ish, total about 23 hours! Feels like one of the marathons where I'm one of the last stragglers coming in at dusk!
Got 2427 out of 2999 loot on expert. Only found 2 secrets out of 5 and only 4 of 8 pickpockets but cured all 7 infected. No KOs except what I thought were essentials to help Basso but after I thought maybe they weren't. (oh and I had one KO spree when I got stuck for hours but I reloaded after.) I used one water arrow in the police station. I don't think you could do that without the first time except just cross your fingers and run but once you understand the patrols you could. And that one rope I daren't stop to retrieve it after me as I only had seconds to get under cover. So not perfectly ghosted but I think it can except for the little room over the inn with the child's room. I couldn't see how to do without an alert. All other times, if I alerted anyone I treated it as failed and quickloaded.
My main concern was that I might have missed some areas but browsed this thread now and pretty sure that I haven't. Also checked Klatremus' loot list (thanks for that!) but I'm sure it was just an odd item here and there I missed so no worries. I get the impression the seeds weren't needed this night after all. So pretty complete and definitely the most intensive effort I've made in any FM though somewhat broken up by RL intervening so this one night was spread over nearly a month!
Definitely in top five all-time best FMs ever. Even when I was stuck I never really felt like giving up. Great mission Lady R! :thumb: :thumb: Now, on to night 2. At this rate I expect to finish before April. :)

Aaahhh, I was afraid that you got bored and had abandoned it! :D
I'm veeeery happy that you liked it. I hope that you will have the patience to finish the campaign; Night Two should be a little easier, since you already know the place....
Good luck with Night Two! :)

I have everything done but locating and nutrilizing sister in this part of town.
Cound someone give me a hint without spoiling (yet), where to start looking for her. I don't have stone key either.

If you haven't been there yet, head for the mechanists. If you have been there, then you missed something.

I have a couple of questions about this mission. I just finished TDS so sparked my interest in doing some FM's, of which I haven't played any in years.
This mission is like a Thief reality check! Very tough, but I love it. It's the way I remember TMA when it first came out. But I have a couple of questions.
At the very beginning after checking on Basso's wife, I go out the door and hang a quick left. Another quick left and go down the alley, and to the right there is a wooden building with an open window there. (I've already gotten the rope arrow BTW). I use the rope arrow and get the loot from the window, but can I get in the window? I've tried everything, alt+w, mantling, but can't get in. Just wondering if it's even possible.
I kind of gave up and wandered around and tried to head N. to get to the doctors house. Of course I'm stumped trying to get across the water, but not looking for spoilers. I lockpicked the bakers and stole the bread and got the loot in there. But I noticed that I still have a lockpick. It's been so long, but I thought lockpicks were only one use. Not true?
This FM is absolutely gorgeous. I'm amazed that an engine this old can look so damn good. And I think the level design is better than the original games. So thank you very much Lady.

michaelg: That's two of the things that baffled me too. I don't think you can get in what you mentioned because I tried and tried and am fairly sure it is not intended. I finished anyway without it. The second thing you mentioned where you don't want a spoiler, just in case it is the same thing as stopped me, come back here and read my hint first if you cannot solve it: there is one texture I thought was metal plate And yes, lockpicks can be used over and over. You might be thinking of Oblivion where they can get broken.
