Hmm if you are referring to Malthus and by his office you mean his store, then no, the key isn't there. I would just keep playing and you'll find it eventually.
Spoiler answer: The key is in the office at the cathedral. If this was the office you were referring to, then the key should be there.

Skylark: Head to the cathedral through the back door of Malthus' shop. It's located in the northern area of the map. You'll have to find an unconventional entrance to the cathedral, as both doors are locked at this moment. Try climbing the side/back in some way. Inside you should find what you are looking for.

I walk around the cathedral many times, and I tried to climb somehow at the back of the cathedral, but it seems Ive missed something.

I managed to get inside. I tried it before one time but i gave up it soon becouse i cant pull myself up and think that impossible becouse it is very steep.

Lady Rowena.......I just completed Seven Sisters after 23 hours of playing (and that was on easy, and with help from Nightwalker)and I have to say "Bravo" on one of the finest Thief FMs ever conceived. I have been playing Thief since the early days and I must say that this effort will rank up there in the top two or three of all time. I could go on and on about what a grand job you did with the plot, architecture, mapping, sounds etc. but I will just say that this is one of the FMs that will be replayed by me. Thank you, thank you, for your efforts.

This is a very well done mission. I am stuck in the market area. I have knocked out every guard in the area and I cannot figure out how to get past the area, every door is locked (or they contain food)... Any suggestions as to where to look next?

Did you find a rope arrow and a thief's note near a porticullis? (street where the dairy is, no name)Shoot the arrow above the arch. That's the way to go. ;)
