im not sure if maybe i'm missing something big, but I've searched through the forums and havent found an answer. I've searched around the attic of Saturnine's bedroom and cant seem to find a switch or anything to open the passage to the crypt. I see the two chests, but I cant manipulate or open them or anything. Am I just bugged or is there a panel somewhere up there that I have to slide open to find the switch?

I'm surprised you couldn't find the answer to this question with a search, because it's been asked many times. There is a switch on the back of one of the posts at the end of the attic with the window. (On the left side of the room, I believe, though I'm not sure.) It's not hidden or anything, just sitting there. For some reason, people seem to have a great deal of trouble finding it!

lol oh god. I cant believe that. I guess the chests really had be distracted. I mean, seeing a chest that I cant open drives a thief like me crazy! :P

You need to:
[SPOILER]Go to Saturnine's room up on the 2nd floor and there is a small carpet on the floor, close to his bed. Kneel down and frob it. The secret door will open. Go there and... oh man! I remember how much trouble I had with finding the switch, but there is a small switch, which opens the enterance to the dungeon. If you still can't find it, read the next spoiler.[/SPOILER]
[SPOILER]From what you write about the attic, I think you are in the right room, assuming you got there from Lord Saturnine's bedroom. If you are trying to get up onto that triangular spot near the pirate flag - forget it! I spent like half an hour trying to get up there. Search closer to the other side of the attic.[/SPOILER]

[SPOILER]From Lord Saturnine's bedroom, you go to the secret attic room, right? Now go to the far side of the attic. That's where you have a window and you can look down thought it. Face left. There is a pillar. Search that pillar carefully. On it's left side, a little up. It's DAMN difficult to find, but THERE IS a switch.[/SPOILER]

Now I got into act 3 and ask, what is the smartest way into [SPOILER]the middle section of the crypt complex? I frobbed the switch that reveals the squaratic stairs, but can't find a way there. The obvious doorway is blocked by stones. Perhaps I just have not looked around enough?[/SPOILER]
