I am a little confused by your question, but maybe it is just you who are confused.;) First, the space where the lovers had their conversation.
I think you must have been there if you have been in Saturnine's room. The lovers were rendered unconscious (by a gas arrow). You should have obtained two keys from the guy's body (Brady) to go somewhere else, and after a treck, then you found the the key to Saturnine's room. You should have found two bodies, two keys, and a card saying "M."
Second, you were in the space you saw from the crack in the attic. That is the hidden attic space you were in with the window in the floor. Third, in that attic space,
there is a switch located high on a wood column, the column at the far corner diagonally from where you enter. After you flip it, look through the floor window.
Fourth, I don't recall the shed in question. If it is near the fountain that I recall, I guess it serves no purpose.
There is a set of exterior basement doors in the conservatory that serves a purpose.
that structure was nothing. I'm not sure why the lever is so hard to find
in the attic.
I just walked right in and found it, but there are always posts about not finding it. I think they are all distracted by the chests that you can't open.
mapping it out for those with need of extreme details:
if you are standing on the window in the floor of the attic, point at the chest that you can't open. Look to your left at about a 45 degree turn. On the post closest to the chest, is a nice red lever.
as for the room with the lovers, you have already been there. It was in Saturine's Wife's room. if you look along the base of the wall, to the right of her bed, you will see the grating you were peeking through.
and if you have any problems with the next vadorcam, check other threads on 7th Crystal, there is a link to an updated mission.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I hadn't noticed
the lever in the attick. I think you were lucky to see it so quickly, Sneaksie, because it was tucked away pretty well.
I knew there had to be something more in the library.
I noticed the little window in Saturnine's wife's room, but I didn't realize that was the one through which I heard the conversation. Now I understand how the attick is laid out.
I just finished the mission (quite the mouth on Lorcan. :tsktsk: ). I really liked it. The story was tight, and the mansion was gorgeous. It ties Calendra's Cistern for the best FM I've played. I'm going to play Calendra's Legacy next.

and just want to say thanks for using SPOILER tags that time. other players appriciate it when they are only looking for a little hint. :cheeky:

I just finished this one. Didn't have a problem in the attick but I had a problem finding the attick room. I spotted the room from the main attick but couldn't find the entrance.
The book in the safe told me the switch for the tombs was somewhere in Saturnine's chambers, but hell if I could find it! I was trying to jump onto the bed when the floor made a clanging sound! ahaa!
I've been trying to get act II of 7th crystal going for a bit now... but it seems I cant get to the conservatory without running into some guards or treading on those BLASTED TILE FLOORS!!!
is ther another way?
Nightwalker on 22/2/2004 at 04:26
You'll have to move through the halls but there are lots of places to hide in shadows, spots where you can turn off the lights, etc. so if you take your time and watch where the guards patrol before moving on, it's not as hard as it might seem at first. Just don't try to rush. Good luck!

Look. Listen. Crouch and "S" walk with a tap tap tap, or CREEP across the tile and marble. SLOW DOWN AND LIVE. :D

nay, run as fast as you can, waking everyone up in the house and getting all the gaurds to follow you around the house. run into the music room with the stage and jump from the stage to the stairs. while the guards get off the stage and run towards you jump up and down and taunt them. when they get close, jump to the stage again. laugh at them as they are obviously out of shape, for they can't mantle the stairs like you can! strum the harp a few times for added aggrevation. :joke: keep doing this until one gets so mad he actually stays on the stage while the other 4 get down and go after you on the stairs. run like hell taking every short cut imaginable. jump off of 2 story balconies. then wait at the door with a flash bomb.... huh? what? you don't have a flash bomb!!! just keep running. they are bound to get tired at some point!

Hello! I'm new to the FM universe (but not to Thief) and I decided to choose the 7th Crystal as my third Fan mission on my computer.
Here's it: I've got into the attic (until now I made fine while ghosting :)) and heard the conversation about the capitan (?) and his lover. After that, Garret says that he has to catch up with him before he gets into his room. The question is: Where's his room and where is a nice point for taking him on the level?
Pay attention that I'm attempting the level on ghosting (basic ghosting, do not be spotted) and no blackjacking if that's not a rule on ghosting too.
Also, how do you open the wizard's tomb and where's the rosary? Just to get antecipated :D
