Thanks Nightwalker,
I just finished this mission and I have to say that this one is in a class all on it's own. Just unbelievable. The creators for Seventh Crystal should have designed every level for Thief 2 and Thief 3. I can't wait until June! I pray I'm not disappointed with Thief 3 like I was with Deus Ex IW. Thanks for your help!

I just have one question:
"How the heck can you get into the crypt?"
Well, I can't find it anywhere. Saturnine claims it to be beneath the library; well, I can't see it...
Thanks.
Check Saturnine's room carefully...by the bed especially. ;)
Btw, I'm still new in the world of FMs, and first time I experienced cam vators (think that's the name) in all it's glory. Must say, that for me is better than any movies can be. Excellent work! :)
And mission itself was beautiful. Not sure if it's my video card, but here dark places are....really dark! Love that.

What Nens said, very true. I'm planning on putting a camvator into my mission for the breifing thanks to saturnine! :thumb:

To answer the question: In the attic, the last room with the chests and pirate flag you will find a switch hidden up high at the right end as you enter.
This is just above the glass panel in the floor that lets you look into the library below.
Once you throw it look down. Then go into the library and continue your expedition.

Stick with this great mission for one of the funniest moments comes during the final scene........I may fire it up again to see it! :cheeky:

I haven't got very far (damn this mission is hard or I've lost my touch) but I'm trying to get to the 3rd floor.
Is there any other way apart from the heavily guarded stairs? I have 1 gas arrow and 2 gas mines and I want to save them all. They don't really help anyway. . .
Nightwalker on 18/6/2004 at 02:50
No, you have to go up those stairs but you can sneak by those guards, I think. (Though I've never done it myself. I'm much too fond of my BJ. :cheeky:)

IIRC, if you crouch in the patches of darkness either side of the stairs and look up into the second floor, I think you can use a rope arrow on some of the wood pannelling surrounding the top of staircase, climb up and then jump off onto the landing. Just make sure not to make too much noise upstairs.
