If you've been in the Library, then you have
the attic key, right? That's where you need to go next. The door is on the second floor, off of the balcony that overlooks the front foyer. Go in, find an grate over in a small corridor off the far side and listen to a conversation. Once you've done that, go find Bradey and get his keys.
I've done this FM a few times and keep getting stuck around the same point. All threads that I've read indicate that as soon as I come across Bradley and Alexandria, I can gain acess to Saturine's Room, which is on the other side. But both rooms on the other side, the second being the nursary, are locked and I have not been given any key for either of them. So, I guess the question is....where do I get Lord Saturine's Room key? Because, once I get into his room, I can then get into the "other" attic area and thence into the catacombs.

You're skipping a few steps. :) After the conversation you need to
get the Museum key and Bradey's key from his body, which you will find on the third floor. Head down to the Museum and get the gem. Once you've done that, the door to the servants' quarters will open automatically. (It's just down the hall from the Museum door.) Get into Bradey's room and that's where you'll find the key to Lord Saturnine's room.
Ahhhhh......sounds good. Unfortunately, I can't retrieve the gem because it's locked and I dont have a key for it. Thanks for the quick response. I'm going back to the gem and see if it can be picked open. If not, then I guess I need to know where "that" key is

Bingo !.....all those keys, and I never considered picking the lock. That should take me to the end. :cheeky:
An amateur's mistake indeed.

It's really weird to see some obscure and ancient thread resurrected, and notice that you've posted in it.
November 2001? Seventh Crystal was released over three-and-a-half years ago? Boy, does the time fly...

I could have created a new one myself, but it's neater to carry on with an already established thread. I chose that particular one randomly.
Resurrecting old threads introduces new comers to a fan mission they may not have played yet.
I'm wondering if Thief 3 has brought along with it people who otherwise would not be aware of the Thief series. As it recedes into obscurity, the number of new people should become increasingly rare. Thus is the fate of all games. I still retain a soft spot for Heretic and Hexen, both of which have disappeared.
While I'm thinking about, and off the topic, my copy of Thief 1 is in bad shape, and I never played Thief Gold. I'll gladly re-purchase the one and buy the other if only I could find a place that sells them. On the other hand, the single reason I haven't updated my video Driver is because Thief 2 won't play on it. Sadly, I don't see anyone making patches for games that no longer have a shelf life because they are no longer on the shelf :(

There's a switch on one of the balconies. How do I get to it?
I can see a tunnel lower down that's blocked by some fallen rubble but no combination of fire arrows and mines has shifted it. :tsktsk:
What's the crack?
