The 7th Crystal, and this thread, are still alive!!
What strikes me is the story, which is brilliant.
Sadly I either could never get ACT 4 working (reload, act 3 cheat skip, reboot, patch didn't work) on my dual-core, so I just can try to guesss what happened thanks to Saturnine's post.
I thought the "M" notes where police crime scene tools, like in the movies , so I guess I understood half of the plot while playing.
Any use for the rosary ? (like avoid a trauma at the end of Act 3 ? :joke:
Saturnine, I probably thanked you years ago for this FM, but it's worth another "thank you very much" !!!
PS: ... and now to Rose Cottage !!

Thanks Platz (and everyone else saying nice things in this thread) :thumb:
I *promise* I will fix T7C, it's breaking for more and more people, I know excatly what the problem is, it needs to be set up slightly differently to trigger the cutscenes via room brush rather than the buggy boundstriggers.
While I'm in there I will try and fix a few other bits and pieces (but not change anything) and re-release it very soon, dromed is being good to me at the moment so I'll take advantage! :cheeky:
As for Rose Cottage, if you wait another week there will be an updated version :thumb:

Cool! OK I will wait a week then for your next version, it will allow me to calm down and get some sleep again because the cottage is a bit scary :D
I'd say I played about 30 FMs over the last 10 years, and Rose Cottage is the most original graphics I've seen on this engine.
BTW is dromed as easy to use as Darkradiant ? (I tried to play with it a bit)

People say DromEd is a bit easier in the beginning, but after that you have more options in DR. I'm currently going through Komag's tutorial in DromEd, and while I'm currently halfway through, I didn't hit any major problems - this coming from one of the most atechnical guys on the whole forum.

This mission is phenomenal!!
I can't believe I never got around to playing it until now but, Saturnine, you did an amazing job. I made an FM of my own years ago and I know how hard and time consuming it is. Thanks for the awesome play! The storyline was also awesome (thanks for the full explanation above).
P.S. Act 4 gave me troubles initially, but as soon as I restarted it it played fine. Did so a half dozen times after that just to see if I could break it again and it played fine each time.
Thanks again!

Thanks Thief13x, better late than never! :thumb:
I will be doing a fixed version of this mission, it breaks for more and more people on todays newer computers, I know I keep saying that but I really will, and the kick I needed is that.......It now doesn't work for me! :cheeky:

So does your contract state anything about mending things you made before you were employed? Or will you be using that as an excuse not to fix it. :cheeky:

I have just seen on the info text from the FM that it's was created in 2001 !! Nice work there Saturnine ! The way it looks we could think it's more recent. It's one of my favorite and... that's a pity we don't see a sequel :(
Oh well, I did enjoy Rose Cottage anyway. :)
